ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Must be tiring when it’s rammed at you all the time mate. We need some variety in our rips, they give us plenty of material.

I'm not sure it is though. Might just be me but 90% of the stuff around the Heysel tragedy seems to be from reds making completely bizarre points about it, the latest seemingly that it was some inside job.

It makes no discernible difference to me, but you do feel for the people who lost relatives. They deserve a lot better than having their loved ones names dragged through the mud in that way.

But that's modern society for you isn't it? The majority of the reds involved in that sort of stuff won't have even been born when the tragedy happened, and won't to comprehend that people died. It's a bit grim really.

Aye but it’s grim on both sides in my humble opinion mate. We’re essentially using a tragedy by proxy to score cheap points over football fans. Just doesn’t sit right with me no more but each to their own like.

Wonder if Nunez' deal will be reported like the Haaland one was when journos were screaming he will cost £300m

It will go something like this:

Actual fee £80 million plus add ons

Will then be reported as €80 million euros plus add ons

Then it’s 80 mill euros including add ons

Which when you think about it is actually just €60 mill euros without the add ons

Which is probably about 50 mill pounds

Which then leads to the newspaper headlines

‘Klopp and Liveprool transfer committee do it again with Nunez transfer cheaper than what Everton paid for Richarlison who btw have also wasted 500 million in 6 years, it’s also cheaper than what City paid for Haaland who might not adapt to City’s game, is injury prone, but despite both of those things this is yet another indicator that they are ruining football by sports washing and financial doping even though we still think Liverpool will now finish ahead of them because they’re the best team of all time #ynwa #imaginebeingus #closinginonanunprecedentedquadruple #Immortals #socialism’

The Nunez deal absolutely stinks of one-upsmanship on City with Haaland. They can't go without all of the attention being on them for more than 5 minutes.

He'll turn out to be a good player for them (because obviously) but never EVER let a red tell you they they don't spend eye-watering amounts of money themselves...

If the reporting on the deal is to be believed that’s close to 90 million pounds on the player in total transfer fees and over 100k a week in wages for 6 years.

They don’t spend any money though and can’t compete.
