How would you feel about them getting an oil rich gulf state in charge?Yeah they've really had a rough few years.
They'll accomodate that until the trophies dry up. Then it'll be Hicks and Gillett part deux. You watch "but we got the good / ethical / best oil rich owners..."
Feels like FSG see the size of the Rebuild and possible no CL footy next season so think the time is right to cash out. I suspect they will end up with a pretty ideal suitor. Ideally they are not US owners. The number of US owners in the league is pretty worrying
For that to happen they'll need an oil-rich takeover. That'll have them all over the place. We all know they’ll land on their feet with the next owners, they’ll get someone as rich as City and Newcastle.
I disagree mate. I think it destabilises them. A short term splurge of cash that may or may not bring them a trophy or two, but the organisation will be riven by the cultural shock of it.Better a U.S. owner than than a Middle Eastern oil state.
The thoughts of them getting a City type of owner is terrifying.

Same really. The ideal would be they get the oil money equivalent of Moshiri ?Good from the point of view of the ethical cartwheels and backtracking they'll all have to do, but bad from the point of money.
I'd rather Hicks and Gillett came back to be honest.
Or ChineseWe all know there is a middle eastern billionaire on the way dont we, thats the way it goes for them.

They've set themselves up for that with all their right on BS.
