Newcastle didn’t win anyway. No one has put the gap to double figures on same games played despite Liverpool leaving the door open numerous times. If they win their game in hand they’re 8 behind a Newcastle team who look like the goals are drying up. No way anyone should be writing them off with best part of half a season left.

Uefa are working on exactly that theme. They say that if a regular top performing team has an off season then a coefficient will be brought to play that will elevate them to a qualifying side.

I’m hoping that they’ve really upset UEFA with all the compo claims for the CL final ‘gassing’, that’s why I think they got drawn against RM rather than the usual ‘FC Minnow’.

Yeah it's ridiculous behaviour, and yes it is Pearce (which is quite funny).

FWIW the few times I've asked Klopp questions in pressers, he's been sound. But, they'd won the games!
