ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

I watched the highlights on BT sport yesterday( never watch them live} and I found that I was getting nervous later on when it was 2-5 even though I knew the result.
I didnt realise till yesterday that they had scrapped the away goals rule and that is starting to bother me now it changes things from them needing 4 to be back in the game to 3. When the second leg comes around I will dip into the BBC website about 10 oclock with a sickly feeling in my stomach hoping that the worst hasnt happened
You and me both mate. A three goal win for Real at Anfield was better than anything I would have hoped for the other night, and yet I still can’t silence that feeling of uncertainty…

I’ll check on here at half time in the second leg and if it’s all going ok probably watch the second half and enjoy it with a beer

So, Man Utd still in 4 competitions. Yet no over-hype by the media. United just get on with it. They probably will not win 4 trophies, but they are doing it in a dignified way. Nothing big headed about them as they play the games. How different it is to last season when a certain team tried to push their weight around and showed nothing but arrogance. How their fan base basically told anyone who would listen they they would win all 4 trophies. How the media made out they were unlucky after City and Madrid did them. United get but a few mere comments from the media for being in 4 competitions still.

By the way. Lurkers! Madrid! Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

A conversation I overheard yesterday. I took my 7 year old son to football training. I’m standing there overhearing a conversation, 2 typical kopites, talking so loud so everyone can hear them. Start rambling about their games and whatever, then says ‘LAD WEVE GOT 20 GAMES LEFT LAD AND WE WIN THEM ALL LAD AND WE WIN DER LEAGUE LAD!’ I honestly didn’t know what to do, there was so many things wrong with that I just laughed to myself and walked off. Probably had the collective IQ of a pigeon.

Remember when they started referring to themselves as ‘the immortals’. They actually thought they were going to eclipse the invincible Arsenal team and United’s treble team.

They’ll be mortified by that result at Old Trafford tonight 😂

Real 8 points behind Barca remember

Don't bother going to the Europa thread on RAWK. I'll summarise so you don't have to...

Barcelona haven't done anything in Europe for years
It was a weakened Barca team ('happens to United all the time' - honestly!!)
The ref was dreadfully biased towards United
If they win the same treble the RS won in 2001 they will actually hate it because they said it wasn't a proper treble at the time
Barca are only top of La Liga because Real aren't interested in it
The BBC have 'gone into meltdown' over United's trivial result, thus proving how much they love them and hate the lovable reds (yes, really...)

and finally...

Real aren't actually that good anyway. They had no answer when the RS pressed them, and they only got back into it because they were gifted several goals.

Okay. There you go. You're welcome :D

Check the replies, turns out their fans disrupted yet another minutes silence.

I once heard that chap John Gibbons on 5Live on the Saturday morning of a derby, on to give their side of things for the preview.

He could barely contain his disdain for us, which is fine, it's a mutual thing.

Just still remember it though, seeing as you're meant to be at least somewhat civil in that type of setting.

If it was the other way around, I'm sure it would have been shut down by the beeb.
