ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

TalkSport were blabbering about this Salah thing tonight, with guest 'ex Liverpool player' Jermaine Pennant (never realised he was a one-club man, or at least that's how it sounded!)

They were talking blithely about whether they should sell for 200 million - ffs, even to that crazy league, the man is over 30! Pennant was especially idiotic, saying they shouldn't sell even at that price as 'he's under contract, and they could sell him next year and still get the same money'. I mean he's a decent player and all, but the evidence is he's past his best already, and by imagining his value wouldn't drop once he turned 32 indicates Pennant is as deluded as the rest of the cult...

Fixed that for you mate

Not gonna say he's massively on the decline as he's still about five times better than any player we've had in 30 years, but it would be proper typical for Liverpool to have been able to enjoy a truly world class Salah for 5 years and then still be able to sell him for over £100m when he's on a downwards curve at 31 years old. They may very well have ended up getting £150-170m for Salah, Fabinho and Henderson.
