Slightly off topic but I took some parcels to a local Sidcup PO whilst wearing a navy blue Everton polo shirt and, when it was spotted by the lady behind the counter she said her lot were RS (although she actually said "Liverpool supporters") and that her brother-in-law married Phil Thompson's sister. So, when Googling Thommo I saw what other people ask about him.

They should have also stood up and said we wont be engaging in any public dialog other than acknowledging the mistake, and issue an apology, which they did.

The fact that the Red Sh*te want their pound of flesh doesnt come as a surprise to any fan of any other football club but it shouldn't mean they get it.

Howard Webb doesn't come out of this well either as who would want to work for him if he does that to his staff (unless the money was good)

Has this happened before, I mean has a football club in this Country asked/ demanded for the missing audio of the incident and been given it ? Because this is now setting a precedent, surely it means all other clubs can do the same. We could have done this against Man City for a handball that should have been given.
 

Gonna get slaughtered for this, but I definitely read that Liverpool were set up by one or more prominent Conservatives, and in the early years were largely seen as the Conservative run outfit as opposed to Everton (Liberal party origins).

I swear, that Tory greed, entitlement, corruption and barely concealed rage has clung to that football club ever since.

Not sure about the EFC Liberal/Whig link, but @davek will certainly confirm the RS roots.
