I've never seen a fan base make a rod for its own back as long and rigid as this one, ably assisted by the LFC kool aid media gimps.
They've built a decent enough manager, with a to be honest patchy competitive record, into such an untouchable and messianic figure, they've just completely boxed themselves in. No one is gonna be good enough from this point forward for years. They have a ridiculously over the top emotional investment in the man, and he's played them like a fiddle, massive egotist that he his.
