The thing is, because they generate so much money from happy clappers from Norway to Woolangong they can spend £500 million a year without going bankrupt. That doesn't mean they're doing it the "right way", it means they're one of only two clubs along with Man United who can spend whatever they like. What they want is the rules to change so only two clubs are allowed to spend money.
