ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

The thing about Slot is IF he wins the league then he'll have done so with Klopps squad rendering the toothed messiah and simply a naughty boy. But this makes him better than Herr Gerner nearly immediately. And we wouldn't want that.

What we really want is a drop down the league placings a la Man U over the next 2-3 seasons once the key members of the goodish squad start leaving/aging.

That would be perfect
But cant see it they always seem to come out smelling of roses

I've been thinking from the start that this is Arsenal's year and I'll still go with that. Every team has a dodgy part of the season where they do badly a few games on the spin and they're having/had their one now. Neither the RS or City have had theirs yet but it will happen otherwise they'll both beat the number of points in a season record. Thing is as well is that if City get hit with a points deduction you can be sure that Arsenal will spend again in January to push home the advantage. The RS won't. Or if they do it will be another dud like Chiesa who's going for cheap for a reason but will give them the opportunity to blow their own trumpet about how smart they are for a month or two until that player gets found out just like Chiesa has

Unrelated to this lot I know, but is there now a similar Spurs propaganda machine peddled by biased journalism? Ange, for me, is potentially a couple of games from the sack. There's barely a peep about how average or poor they've been since about this time last year.

Headline on the BBC this morning:
Will Postecoglou repeat second-season successes at Spurs?

I mentioned this on Sunday. 9 games in and already 4 defeats. Has a front line 90% of the league would love, depth all over the place, yet looks like an Aussie Kevin Keegan to me and clueless how to set the team up properly.

I'd be fuming if I was a Spurs fan with the squad they have and already having 4 defeats.

Changes the training schedule so he can watch Liverpool. It’s ultimately the problem with any of their players or ex players when they play for England or play or manage anyone else. They are obsessed only with Liverpool, it’s a cult they’ll never leave. One of the better things Gareth Southgate did was ridding the squad of nearly all Liverpool players and keeping captain of captains on the which where he belonged and ‘Trent’ as far away from the starting 11 as possible. They’ll sow division in any team, always have done.
