ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Just had a gander at RAWK and though I expected to see a fair number of people assuming the league will be resumed and the season completed, I was surprised not to come across anyone assuming it would just be scrubbed. The only references I've seen to the latter involved the assumption that the 2020/21 season would be canceled to make way for the end of this season. Now I'm curious about whether their confirmation bias is greater than our own or vice versa.
Cancel an entire season to play the last 10 games of this one? Rriiiggghht.

They have a lot more to lose than we do. So it's clear they are failing to see whats infront of them. They are taking tit bits of information and generalising from them to far, while wholly ignoring most other bits of information and context.

So far the FA have cancelled all football up to Conference level. This will be a pressure from below. From above UEFA have given a June 30th end, and will have little appetite to continue beyond this in any leagues. Sideways organisations such as governments will not want to risk major sport re-starting if the virus continues.

Finally the PL is really not favourable for them. Whats in it for most teams to re-start? One of Leicester/Spurs get CL, whichever it isn't would probably support a restart. Outside of that, it's really hard to see why anyone else would really want to re-start. They need to get to 14.

Looks it's possible, but it's not automatic, and there are a lot of hoops that have to jump through.

Their issue is, they don't really understand just how aware of what a scummy bunch they are. They are a vile, individualistic, selfish group of people and people are quite aware of it. There's no sympathy for them, and you can understand why there isn't as well. They don't deserve it, their behaviour is reprehensible. Nobody is going to go out on a limb, even at their own expense to help them. People will look after themselves, and this increasingly is going to be following historical precedent- cancelling and voiding the season if it can't be completed within a time frame outlined by Uefa.

I've said it before.

The sheer money loss , plus dead time means next season is still going ahead. Literally 10 weeks then what? 9 months of nothing in this country? It would cripple the game. That's what is amusing to see it suggested by kopites , only reason to do that would be for their benefit.

Any arrangement to finish the season from a premier League perspective would only ever benefit liverpool. There's no two ways about it.

Do you really think other clubs would be arsed about the season when their players and staff are getting sick? Do you think sponsors really care about finishing this season if they lost the advertising for a while season?

You can't fit both seasons in one year. Impossible to do. Far too many decisions to make if you end it without voiding. Either they pray come may we can continue , possibly June at the latest but then I don't think Europe will all continue at the same time / at all.

When you see these stories posted on social media, you can spot a kopite a mile away, they are the only ones with plans to finish the season

Now you have to self-isolate for 28 days. That site has a far more dangerous virus attached to it than Covid-19 will ever be.

the SKY money will be paid pro rata, the remaining unplayed games would fall under the provisions of a frustrated contract, (where unforeseen events of no fault to either party which drastically alter the status quo), that allows a neat line to be drawn under this season, no champs, no losers, skip got what they paid for, start again as soon as possible with a few season.

Sorry RS, suck it up lurkers.

If one of them dare mention the possibility they’d likely be banned after being stoned to death by the cult hordes.

Reading Samuel’s latest pile of tripe.

‘Imagine if, during the 1980s recession, Liverpool and Everton had been prevented from fulfilling their destinies as the leading clubs in England, and Europe? ‘ is he actually an idiot or does he just write this stuff to troll people.

Then a whole section on how Anfield’s stewards are the best in the league. Apparently they keep order with a good spirit and light touch. He mustn’t have ever been to an Anfield derby then where it used to be impossible to ever make kick off due to their incompetent stewards, and they had to eventually get Everton ones to do it as the Liverpool ones couldn’t resist causing trouble with the Everton fans. Best in the league though, apparently.
Never been to castle greyskull, but I've heard their stewards are appalling, also I think Everton have won the award for the best stewards for like 8 years running the little beaut have obviously never been near a football stadium. I remember City fans telling me how good our stewards are compared to both theirs and the RS stewards. There was a case not that long ago when the wife on a guy in the army went to match with her kid and she brought her beer with her to her seat. now a sensible approach would be to ask her to take it down to the concourse, instead they threw her out. Making fans miss 20 minutes of the game a few years ago was a complete disgrace, the divvies even said they didn't expect our fans to arrive at that time, when else would they get there.

Another asterisk. A glorious double asterisk season never to be repeated.
I have checked through all the statistical football yearbooks and if I am not mistaken, they may be the team to hold the most asteriksesxes in english football, I mean I do not like them but I will take my hat off to them for that, purely on spelling alone.

well if i did a screenshot of the page, there would be about 4/5 different articles and people would get confused of what i'm referring to.

I don't read the articles, nobody cares about the amount of clicks a BBC article has, so i don't care about clicking on it to make the screenshot more descriptive. I'm not going to read that trash at the end of the day, if you're happy that your TV Licence fee goes towards such trash then fair play.

If you don't click it they stop writing it. It's like all the nonsense articles I get on fb from the Mirror with a picture of Pickford saying "Ancelotti says THIS player is the best he's ever coached" and it's an interview from 2006 where he says "Kaka is quite good". It's ridiculous and everyone just keeps feeding the machine
