ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

i've been crying laughing about this article. who is connor dunn? is he 8 years old? hahahaha jesus christ,

It seems, therefore, some of Liverpool's rivals are jumping at an unprecedented opportunity to stop the Reds winning the league, having not been able to do it on the pitch.

hat means, should all of the hopes, dreams, wishes and prayers of rival detractors be answered, Klopp's men would spend another year as European and world champions.

While most other teams would have very little to celebrate this year aside from denying another side deserved success through no great achievement of their own.

:D:D:D

oh wait, i've fund connor dunn

If that creepy bugger thinks remaining “European and world champions” for another year will be of any consolation to Kopites when the plug is pulled then he is much mistaken.

As for the rest of us.....it is a price we will gladly pay :)

Though come to think of it, if this season is nulled then their ”world champion” status will be rendered moot.

Not that it ever mattered much anyway....a Mickey Mouse Cup if ever there was one.

Best non Evertom match ever?

I remember watching this at my nans house with her (red), my grandad (blue), my uncle (blue), my ma (red) and my dad and brother who have no horse in this race.

I'd only started supporting Everton that season after my mother and grandmother's attempts to lure me into Big Red were thwarted by a scrote at Saint Helens baths breaking into our locker and stealing the silver RS away kit they bought me as a present. My grandad siezed his chance and replaced it with an Everton home kit the same afternoon and my uncle got me a Wire top too, sealing my fate.

That game is one of my fondest footballing memories and my earliest experiences of the wonder of schadenfreud.

just have to wonder if the echo would be shouting from the rooftops so loudly, if Everton was leading it. Surely even the echo must realise at some point that life and well being is more important at some stage.
Christ give them a commemorative shield or something, lots of teams have missed out this year not just Liverpool.

Best non Evertom match ever?

At that time I was a teacher and used to do private tuition. On that night I was doing tuition in Widnes so I set the video to record it. I got home about 9pm but waited until the game had finished before I started watching it.

It was just after Hillsborough and because of crowd concerns the match was delayed 15 minutes or so. This meant that the tape ran out just before the second goal. Obviously, there was no internet in those days. Not sure about teletext. Anyway it was late so I couldn't really phone anyone to ask what happened so I got in my car and drove to The Pit. There was some scruff hanging around so I wound the window down and asked him what the score was.

He, in choice language, told me that they scored right at the end.

I said 'That's terrible' then drove off and launched into a bout of hysterical laughter.

the likes we'll never ever see again due to "random fixture selection". If that happened these days in the sky era, it would never ever be forgotten about, i mean the aguero moment was something out of expected, but this was a notch more unbelievable.

I was 9 and I remember watching it in my front room with my Dad and him dancing in front of the telly when that goal went in.

It also led to a lot of confusion as it took me a couple of years to comprehend that there isn't a final game to decide who wins the league every year.

I remember that match so fondly.

My dad and brothers went the pub for a darts match, with one eye on the game.

I was too young but watched it with my mum, whilst finally managing the 'rock the baby' trick with my Coca Cola, Russell Spinner YoYo. I was using that to ease the tension, whilst my Mum was terrified I would fire the thing through the tv screen!

That Thomas goal is magical. My brothers and dad returned from the pub with huge grins after witnessing many disgruntled kopites :)
