It will be interesting to see how much this NHS fund makes.

On a rough estimate the Premier league players are paid a total of just over £20m per week between them all.

Their places of work are closed. Virtually everyone else in the country in that position is living off a max of £2.5k per month.

I am just very cynical about this whole PR exercise.

In all honesty, this rant probably belongs in a different thread as it is not specifically about the RS and in all fairness I think Henderson is trying to be decent (average midfielder though).

I may be being cynical but it looks to me like away of avoiding the pay cuts many clubs / players in the top leagues around Europe and some individuals in our country have already done.

The proof will come in the amount they pledge which should be at least the 20% of their earnings that those footballers / managers / clubs mentioned above are giving.

I really don't understand his popularity, it just seems they've found some RS who happens to be Scouse who goes the match and there's not many of them now, so they need to show the world that they actually care about the local community, when they aren't kicking people out of their houses, turning the area around their ground into a dump, even the Guardian had a go at them for that and they're pretty pro RS. Honestly if some Blue did what he does we'd think it's amusing for a one off, but for him to make a living off that nonsense and actually play in front of thousands of fans just shows how ridiculous they are.

Just seen that Jamie Webster (think he does them BOSS nights) has released a cover of You’ll Never Walk Alone with the rise of it being for the NHS.

The desperation is real to make that song some sort of anthem for the pandemic.
