ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

DOn't be mean, I bet he had an uncle he always went the match with.

They always do.

Yep, theres always one reason, like a Tim Roth/Mr Orange back story to justify them supporting them. Just incase some uber scouse super fan asks them.

Most of the southern RS I've had the misfortune to be stuck on a Virgin train with hate the city and slag it off to their mates on the phone.

Why they can't support one of the 15 odd clubs from London is beyond me.

Granada Report doing their best to push You’ll Never Walk Alone as being the ‘anthem’ for this difficult time.

That’ll be the last time I’m watching it. It’s just beyond pathetic that they’re trying to make this about them.

The BBC Regional news did the same - I hate that funeral dirge so much, there was panic when I coudn't find the telly flirter quick enough to change the channel

Prof John Ashton, a public health expert, who has been extremely vocal about about the Govt's handling of this crisis especially the decision to allow Atletico fans to travel to LIverpool - is now under investigation. I wonder who could possibly have made a complaint? I know who my money would be on. I seriously would not put it past their weirdo fanbase. Incidentally most of what Prof Ashton said has been shown to be right,

I'm not sure they can-hopefully- because it was released for the Bradford fire disaster. When the Hillsbrough tradgedy happened, they had to release Ferry cross the Mersey. Im sure the rs will have some sort of copyright on it.

Didn't loads of them complain to the BBC about Eastenders once when it mentioned Hillsborough and Heysel?. It was just mentioned as one character was a football hooligan.

They wanted the entire writing team sacked or thrown off the top of the Queen Vic.

From WiKi : "You'll Never Walk Alone" has rapidly become the world-wide anthem to show support for and encouragement to medical staff, first responders, those impacted by, under restrictions or in quarantine because of the 2019-20 coronavirus pandemic.[2]

Hahaha, wow. They're a horrible club. I can tell you now lads, it has not rapidly become a world-wide anthem to show support. World-wide!! lol how emabarrsing for them.

It's a horrible song from an American play. Use another song that you've created...oh wait, you've stolen them all.

Now come on you Blues. Have a heart. Our lovable neighbours were within six points of reclaiming the title that is theirs by right.
They were within two games of matching the achievement of that fantastic Leicester City side from back in the day.
Then suddenly, their dreams and hopes were snatched up by this virus-ridden claw and crushed before the watching world.
Can we not just cut them some slack for a day or two?

Naaaah!
Kopites are gobs......

I've walked out of family and friends weddings when the dj has played that song.

Was at one at the racquet club in town and heard it, the dj refused to turn it off so I just walked out and went into town on my own.

Been at a wedding where they played Ring of Fire and a few of us walked out.

Same - like many on here I suspect! Couldn’t tell you the last time i heard more than about two seconds of it, telly gets muted each and every time it comes on!
