ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Every home and away game of theirs could have been a party of celebrations. They would have loved coming to Goodison the other day.

They wanted the constant media recognition, they craved other fans fuming, so they can pretend to be 'The Unbearables' (inserts a million emojis).
Even though what they really want is everyone to pat them on the back at how good they are.

But literally nobody cares about this version of football, they will try their best to wear The Asterisk. But other than a few fireworks going off, they will realise that after they can't celebrate it and laud it over anyone. It will feel very very empty.

Best case scenario... Is City drawing or losing tonight.....not only do Liverpool win it behind closed doors, but they don't even win it at the end of one of their own games... A behind closed doors game at Stamford Bridge on BT sports, a channel most people don't even have aswell....

It's a complete damp squid in comparison to what we were all expecting to have to suffer through...

Also Sky get robbed of the Big league decider next week

Come on Chelsea!

Spot on.
I have never ever wished City to lose a game in the 50+ years I have supported them.
But tonight I would be quite happy if we lost for the exact reasons you say.
Then as the post below says: They come to the Etihad and we give them a hiding.
A none event followed by a huge negative for them. Perfect.

I rarely watch them for good reason, but is this actually the best Liverpool team in 30 years? I seem to remember their squad with Alonso and Torres that pushed united being decent. Seemed like the quality of the top 3 or 4 teams was generally much higher then.

If Chelsea take points tonight - you can guarantee Klopp will put the kids out against you.
They will be well beaten, but the media will spin it to - how brave Liverpool's next golden generation were in defeat.
You can't win against this slanted RS biased media.

I dont think a lot of us get involved in comparing their players over any length of time. Trouble is see, as soon as that happens, the lurking RS on here forget to apply their camouflage make-up and clatter into the thread with spreadsheets, pie charts, opta stats and a myriad of other forensic appendices. It never ends well for them...given the 'fish in a barrel' usual conclusions.

I've been most amused to read one of their clueless lot boasting about they've got no problem with having the Blue NHS badge on their kit and saying 'dem bitters wouldn't have allowed it on their kit if it'd had been red badge, they wouldn't allow anything red on their kit for anything, that's shows just how bitter they are'.

We have the red poppy on our shirt in games year in year out around remembrance Sunday, this thick beaut clearly forgot that.

As for the NHS badge on their kits, I'm suprised they haven't put #YMCA underneath it.

I agree this is the best case scenario as the alternative of a city win tonight then another city win against them next week will mean they'd have to wait until their game next weekend to win it. When the boozers are open. They'll pack them out and be spreading the covid like wildfire the little mings
