ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC" part 3

Salah has obviously been great for them.

My main worry about both is that they will somehow manage to punt them for £200m upwards for both of them in a year.

I think Salah has a couple years left in him tbf but if he doesn't produce the numbers next season they can now sell him and still get a half decent fee from the Saudis.

Hold on, didn't his uncle Frank Pimblett leave his 'home city' to go and play in Australia?

It's going to be comical seeing this kopite get webbed all over the shop at the weekend.

….never knew Frank Pimblett was his uncle. If it’s the same one, I remember Frank, sure he played in the same Huyton Boys team as Peter Reid (I played against them the following year and scored a couple ;)). They won the English trophy, some achievement (we got beaten in the semi-final the following season).

Frank was some player, he signed for Villa and there was talk of them buying a house for his parents. He played for Villa then ended up in Australia but I think he sadly passed away a few years ago.

Yes, that's his uncle.

Huyton Boys beat Stoke I think at Goodison Park. Alan Bleasedale was the co-manager with an old Sheff Wednesday player Eddie Kilshaw who was from Prescot.

I really, really hope Dick van Dyke stays with them. Massively on the slide now and will have had them over a barrel on his new contract, likely a sizeable increase on his already something like £250k a week. Won't just be an extra year either, probably two, on I reckon £400k a week. Will go as far as to say he won't be a starter for them in 2026/27, yet will be their highest earner behind Salad.

Absolutely mental wages to be handing out. Doesn't matter even if Salah scored 25 goals next season, due to his age they'll never make the money back off him they could have if they'd sold him at his peak.

VVD has looked as ropey as a soap on a rope the last couple of months.

Huge financial commitment from the rs to keep the moaning arses at bay for another season.

Refs give him loads of decisions is the main issue
