As I said, I'd never heard of it - yet not saying It didn't happen. Every club has their fair share of vermin - ours get kicked out of the ground and banned (even for something as trivial as calling Saha 'a lazy french w****r', which to be fair, he was) whereas you get t-shirts printed defending yours.

Mate he's on a wind up. He is bringing things up that happened 10 years ago, that Heskey chant or in the 80s the 'Everton are white' chant. We have our own racists, like they do. Don't hear them inside the stadium but outside you will see the odd dickhe*ds on youtube chanting about 'Sturridge'. The RS are using all and sundry at the moment because their 'great revival' that will land the 'league title' is falling off the rails. There is a section in Nick Hornby's Fever Pitch called Bananas and he writes that 'bananas after bananas were thrown from the away section at the Clock end' because John Barnes was making his debut.
This is a pivotal season for them and they are pulling out all the stops to try and gain any advantage they can over the teams around them.
