ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They really are a deluded bunch. Apparently Mirallas deserves to be smashed for his tackle on Suarez at Goodison (convenienty forgetting last season's derby). It's about time they got some refereeing decisions their way (unbelievable to even say that really). And the classic, Rodgers is a better manager than Martinez. This is Rodgers who despite spending the best part of 30-50 million every transfer window has never finished ahead of Everton, has never beaten Everton, has never won away at any of the top 4 grounds, and has never won a major trophy. Contrast that to Martinez who has won multiple times at the top grounds including Anfield, Old Trafford and the Emirates, and has also won the FA cup, and, despite making money in his first transfer window with us can still go above the team Rodgers has been moulding for two years. Boss manager that Rodgers.

1- if you wish a broken leg on another player you are in no position to be upset at other fans rejoicing at one of ours suffering the same

2- Bryan being out benefits England in the world cup. So there you go. Well done. Karma, as you say.

Them celebrating Oviedo breaking his leg would be like us celebrating Joe Allen breaking his leg. We just wouldn't do it, because we're not arsed about him. If they were celebrating someone like Tim Cahill breaking his leg then I could understand, because they absolutely hate him. It's nothing like us wishing a serious injury on Suarez, because he is loathed by us for good reason

Exactly this.

I make no apologies for it - I want Suarez to break his leg, because he's a contemptible rat of a player who would fully deserve it.

I don't, however, want every and any Liverpool player to break their leg and I'd take no pleasure in seeing it. I respect Gerrard as a professional, talented player, for example. A snide, yes, but not a shameful human being. Taking pleasure in Bryan Oviedo, a blatantly decent guy, breaking his leg and somehow comparing THAT to Suarez is absolutely ridiculous.

In fact, Suarez being a Liverpool player is not an issue to me at all; he could play for Stoke and I'd feel the same way.

I think you'll find the fact that Martinez getting Wigan relegated negates ALL of that.

While they have this...

As much as the worst side of my character would like to see Suarez snapped in half, the more I think about it its perhaps better that he remains fit because there has never been a better way of exposing them for what so many of them are; plus of course the way he is playing means that if they dont finish top four he will either be off - causing fume levels not seen since Krakatoa - or will take them for even more money than he is currently on. There is also the strong likelyhood that he is due to do something mad anytime soon that will have them scrambling to defend the indefensible again.

suarez hasnt had his leg snapped in two, so its not really the same thing mate, suarez does everything he can to incite the oppo, so gets a few over the top shouts coming his way, oviedo doesnt do anything like that, so kopites making oviedo's injury all about suarez is not really the same thing, they've a track record for this sort of behaviour, see alan smith

if he gets a career ending injury they'll lose out on a massively inflated transfer fee they are going to recieve for him, which will not be indicating how much he's truly worth. they'll also be screwed seeing as they're pretty much a one-man team (not sure sturridge would be the same player without suarez' assists, regardless of his early season form). it would also be very good for the sport - everyone except LFC would benefit. They'll fume enough.

i usually agree with Tube, not here tho. Nobody, ever ever deserves an injury. Ever.

A career ending injury would generate sympathy, a bit of respect and an absolutely massive insurance payout though. It is better for all concerned that he does what he usually does and disgraces himself, the fanbase and humanity as a whole by some random act of madness - molesting that Anfield cat perhaps, or setting fire to Ivanovic.
