I reckon libpool will be pleading with Oldham and the young lad to please let it go even offering hush money or a friendly sometime in the future .

During a training session today, Liverpool skipper Steven Gerrard mistimed a tackle and caught Craig Bellamy on the knee. Bellamy's knee started to swell up and become hugely inflamed. As the rest of the Liverpool squad gathered round to see the damage, Luis Suarez shouted out - "**** me! Look at that knee grow!"

and that your honour rests the case for the defence.

So what's Kenny Dalglish and LFC's excuse been about this abuse last night then?

"he's got history of this hasn't he?"

er Kenny?

That picture shows nothing out of the ordinary to me. I can't see anything even remotely that could e interpreted as racist abuse.

We can do better than this. Let them keep digging their own hole even deeper, without trying in vain to invent something.

It's a picture, of course you can't see anything remotely racist in it.

I'd rather go off first person accounts and eye witness statements.

I thought this was so obvious, it didn't really need saying. Clearly it did.

I would have thought that it was obvious that the picture served to show the hostility of opposition fans (and there must be millions of those) and nothing more. I thought the pic was posted for a bit of comedy p*ss-taking - you know - "look, there's a klansman in row KKK!" type stuff.

...a snide statement let out at the close of the day. Nice.

They should be addressing their role in creating the atmosphere that the Adeyemi incident flourished in; but they wont, they'll just hand over a few supporters to the coppers (some of whom probabaly wont have said anything) to cover their own arses.

Shameful stuff.

I especially like:

In addition, we have examined records of the tickets purchased in that part of the ground to see if they provide any additional information and have passed that on to the Police.

"Hello, My name is Mr. Terre-Blanche. Can I have a ticket for the Kop End please?"

Watched the match and it was a few utter **** wipes near the front who must have said something and let the whole of the club, and especially the majority of our decent, non-scum fans down. Absolutely no condoning it, and I'm glad to see the players showing their support. Liverpool need to deal with this properly and make it clear that, despite the Suarez saga (and it has been), that can't be tolerated whatsoever.

Can you not see that Liverpools FCs failure to properly deal with the suarez incident has directly led to this sort of behavior

Your club has acted in a shameful manner and has given racists like this a percieved green light to abuse a talented young footballer and reduce him to tears

Hope you are proud of your wonderful club
