ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Derby at Goodison Park; it's easy to get games there. I'd have been to all the Anfield games this season too if I'd have had around £600 to put my name down for a season ticket when I was 9.

Oh good that old chestnut

I have mates who manage to get tickets every week without a season ticket

This myth about not getting tickets is just a lovely lie for all the armchair supporters out there

Just imagine if this whole episode - or series of them - surrounded another club, such as Millwall for example. The whole racism charge for one of their players, then the club's shocking reaction and conduct, then the Oldham incident and now this.

If it was Millwall, the whole country - media, FA/PL etc ,all fans would be in uproar and baying for them to face serious sanctions such as their next home game behind closed doors.

But that lot just seem to walk away with it. When will the authorities make a real stand and take real action against the Club. I say again, just ask yourselves what would be happening if this was Millwall, Leeds etc.

It's a fair point mate. They've been damaged over all this, no question. But they have their apologists trying their best to rehabilitate them. The likes of Millwall would been given no understanding whatsover.

There's little excusing a lot of the fallout of this Suarez incident but I honestly do question if it were to happen to an Everton player whether the fan reaction would be any different. I'm sure the club PR would be significantly better, but all this booing and the likes: can you honestly say Everton are immune to it? The thing is, there's racism in an absolute minority in a lot of football grounds and if it hadn't have been for the publicity associated with the Suarez case and the events following, I doubt that one man in a crowd of 45,000 making a ****ing stupid gesture would be headline news. I think a lot of our fans have let themselves down over these events but I think the associated ****storm on this thread is a bit rich considering it's all circumstance at the end of the day.
