Liverpool are under new ownership apparently.

Sorry to put a dampner on proceedings, but after being on such a high from the lads fantastic fightback last night, I witnessed something that makes me 100% certain Liverpool have some of the scummiest support in the land.

Right on the corner of Whitehorse lane and Thornton Heath High Street, about 20 minutes after the match finished, a group of Liverpool fans were seen exiting the back of their coach, through the emergency door - throwing bottles and giving a lad, who looked no older than 17, a kicking.

Real shame I couldn't see the reg. plate - the filthy scum piled back in their coach and it made it's way down Whitehorse Road towards East Croydon.

This was on the Crystal Palace forum. As well as this.

Crystal Palace fan,

After beating Everton I got a few pats on the back for congratulations for our team and for our support. Also a lot of "don't mind the result as long as you beat them reds". I'm sure they have their so called "Hooligan element" but the ones I saw were extremely friendly and wished us all the luck of the world.

But those scousers I'm hearing about sound like C-units. It's a game of bloody football FFS!

This post is spot on:

I'd like to thank the Luvapoo players and management for what they've done for us this season. By coming so close to actual achieving something before they ****ed it up, we were all reminded about what vile, arrogant pondscum their supporters truly are.

The RS have vile, arrogant supporters in their midst, no doubt, quite possibly a greater proportion than other teams. But that post is a sweeping generalisation to say the least. If people want to dehumanise our cousins from over the park, then do so, but they'd be the ones who look like the "pondscum". David France, with his tongue just about in his cheek, got it right with this Everton vs Liverpool analogy, but I've read some pitiful descriptions of the RS recently.

Words fail me and its been going on and on for years, things like this from their fans. Honestly there is no words strong enough to describe that lot of maggots.

Knowing how bent out of shape this league is at times, this stuff will get completely over-looked. This is what they do, this is livershite football club for you. If things don't quite go their way on the field, you can bet your mortgage on the fact they will spoil it for others.

Tonight's awards explained...

  • Bill Shankly Award: This goes to "someone who has upheld the club's values, showing dignity, unity, commitment and ambition" or so says the club's website
  • Supporters' Club of the Year: "a fan club that has shown extraordinary support for their beloved Liverpool"

  • Staff Recognition Award: "For a member of Liverpool FC staff who is dedicated to Liverpool FC and upholds the Liverpool Way"

  • Lifetime Achievement Award: "Someone who has dedicated their life to Liverpool FC, demonstrating the club values in everything they do

*says nothing*
