What is it with this idea that Gerrard "deserves to win it"? Just like how at the end of a season your final league position dictates where you deserve to finish - the same applies here.

If you've never finished 1st, then you don't deserve the title.

Yeah - he blew his chance to win the title when he didn't go to Chelsea a few years ago.

Its almost like the idea that the suits and other big chiefs of this league simply had to have Gerrard as a nomination for player of the season, despite him being bang average. We know Manchester City didn't read the script correctly but when they tried to give Liverpool the title, the realization that in years to come when everyone looks back on their title win of 2014 and Gerrard didn't play a major part in it, suddenly dawned on them. Thats why he was included in the nominations and finished runner up, no doubt about it whatsoever. For him to finish 2nd means he must surely have been outstanding when you look at the records on paper in black and white.

This belter got what he deserved on April 27th. This is how he will be remembered hopefully

Wouldn't be fair on the fat brass mate "now pretend I'm Bruce Wayne and if you can slip into this size 24 Catwoman suit that would be great luv".

I honestly honestly wonder what urge occurs to make them write such deluded turd. I said to the missus if I ever see her hash tag #wegoagain into any texts or on twitter I will personally punt her up the arse into the distance.
