Geoff, Liverpool: If only that truly shocking offside decision against Sterling at the Etihad hadn't been given. That game would probably have ended in a draw. That three-point swing would mean a win against Newcastle would be enough for the title.

If the RS weren't give dubious penalty decisions in most of their 12 that were given....they probably wouldn't be in the to 4.

Spot on. And if Stoke don't miss the penalty in the first game of the season, if they don't get a jammy late eualizer at Goodison, if they're not handed three pennos at Old Trafford against the worst United side in the last 20 years....
