“You’ll get some players who are specialists and who need to play in particular positions, but if we can get players in who are multi-functional, and can play in different roles and are multi-dimensional in their work, it sets us up and gives me more options as a coach.”

I really hate the way Brenda speaks. He talks like a friggin management consultant. He should just say he is wanting some players for a specific position and some who are more versatile.

dont know where the photo came from heath..did you make it yourself..however taking liverpool out of it of course it leaves manchester as a city with 5 wins and sandw iched only by chelsea in between..does that fact still give you a buzz..depresses me really.having won nothing since 1995 think its time ..almost 30 yrs ..i get no delight in these facts whatsoever..whatever turns you on of course.. only chance we have is if this ffp thing works eventually..

No mate I never made it..I came across it on a RS forum probably RAWK just after you had beaten City. I didn't post it as I never wanted to tempt fate etc. The fact that the RS never won it and in the manner they blew it gives me a tremendous buzz coupled with it was Gerrard that was in part to blame because if he never wins the thing that's a huge gap on his CV and he knows it. Karma.

Had a nightmare last night, City could only manage a draw against Sunderland, virtually handing the title to the Fanny Pads.

Manchester City 2-2 Sunderland - report: City all but out title race http://dailym.ai/P5L8hL via @MailSport

Then I woke up and remembered he fell on his arse

Vito Mannone fumbled horribly and the stadium celebrated as if disaster had been averted — but a quick look at the league table will soon dissuade the sky blue faithful of that misconception. There are now two teams who need to win all their games to take the title. Neither of them is Manchester City.

That was not the case prior to kick-off. The title was Liverpool’s to lose but, in a bizarre quirk, if Chelsea were victorious at Anfield on April 27, they put Manchester City back in the box seat. All they had to do was win their games in hand, starting at home to Sunderland.

Oh dear. Maybe that was the problem. City simply presumed they would complete an easy list of home fixtures, while that dastardly Jose Mourinho did their dirty work.

They would overcome Sunderland, West Bromwich Albion and Aston Villa and it would fall into their laps. They forgot some work of their own was required, too.

I will be raising my glass tomorrow at 4. 56 pm. to celebrate the anniversary of Man City being confirmed champions of the English Premier League. Mind you Stevie me did snatch defeat from the jaws of victory, and they do share another great anniversary,
