The more i see their Post-City celebrations the more triumphalist they look, every single one of them had already lifted the trophy. Beautiful.

What makes it all the more satisfying is knowing that this was the closest they will get to doing that for a long long time mate, and probably Steviee Geeees last chance, he will turn into another Aldo, bitter, twisted and living in denial

Happy days :)

i get no pleasure out of utd city and chelsea winning the league every year though either..even arsenal spurs or newcastle would make a change to this billionaire mentality of being able to buy the league..maybe now that city have accepted the fine of 50mill and a c/l drop in players numbers we may see a sudden change in this..who knows but doubt it...when they come calling for stones or barclay or other of our players..hope you are still buzzing by them...

Liverpool spend outrageous money as well. Glen Johnson is on 6 figures or thereabouts. They spent £35m on Carroll. Huge numbers. If they're ever regarded as popular winners of the league one day, as they were claiming to be this year, it won't be anything to do with them not spending huge amounts of money. Only their most deluded fans have dreamed this idea up.

That thread on RAWK is superb. The poster, sorry 'scribe', who wrote that crap, sorry 'poem', responds to a poster who said they were guilty of celebrating the title to soon with this:

I also don't know anyone who was gloating about a title win, or anyone who didn't think Chelsea/Palace were going to be tough games. I think what you're talking about is a very small number of people who actually have very little bearing or idea how the majority of us think. They have more bearing on how fans of other clubs view us, disproportionately so. So I wish Liverpool fans wouldn't start giving credence to this nonsense as well.

This coming from a forum with a 294 page thread entitled 'we're going to win the league'

hahahahahahahahahahaha

Absolutely spot on...since 1990 lfc have been right up there in what they have spent on transfer fees, wages and agents. Remember what Souness, Evans, Houllier and the waiter spunked up the wall. Just because they never won the Title does not mean they never spent vast amounts...they just chose to spend the money on shyte.

Mate, I fear you might have rendered any further analysis of RAWK superfluous, that as they say is that, case closed, hypotheses proven, job done.

Yeah but, yeah but, arnt they gutted we arnt both in the CL cos it would be ace for the city?

Pretty sure we had at least 287567 posts on here saying they really really wanted us to get 4th.

Thats why they are gutted. Nothing to do with blowing it, they didnt really want it anyway. Us 4th, them 2nd, was perfect I thought.

Or maybe not.

Oh it was perfect for them because in order for us to finish fourth at that point it needed us to beat Citeh.

:)

eee, lad, there were method in their madness.

Stevie Me slipped and cost Liverpool the title.

Just reminding everyone in case one of you is having a bad day. I reckon someone should bump this thread with that gif at least once a day for the next 100 years.
Is that right Stevie Me slipped, and it cost them the title ? That sound beautiful, what exactly happened ? Would love to see it.

Henry Winter on the no mark Rodgers:

It is far too early to compare Rodgers with some of the club's managerial greats but he does possess qualities that echo the traits of others who have overseen team operations from that cramped home dug-out, confirming that Liverpool are in good hands, that a famous history is about to be further enhanced...Rodgers has made a powerful impression on English football on and off the pitch. He represents the club with dignity.

Any chat with Rodgers is to be reminded of his presence. He has authority, a stature beyond his physical frame. The 41-year-old will engage in conversation but the privilege is in listening to the informed sentences with which he analyses games and also to the voice. There is a quiet power to the way Rodgers expresses his well-chosen words. Sometimes he lowers his voice, intentionally or otherwise, requiring the listener to concentrate even more, a tactic used by Kenny Dalglish. It all adds to the aura. It all points to why Liverpool are enjoying a renaissance under Rodgers, an intelligent, inspirational manager.

Nauseating.

Imagine it if this feller actually wins something one day?
