FIFA could easily ban him from all football for a set term.

Good to know, cheers!

After what he did to Mirallas and Distin (and about a dozen others) I'm actually genuinely concerned for Premier League footballers with him about.

It goes to show how poncy the game has become that nobody has put their boot through his leg yet.

Err Mirallas mate?

I think this should now be done.

If he has hepatitis C or HIV/AIDS (and there's no way anyone is immune to these things - if he bit me I'd want tests done) by biting he could infect someone. You can go to jail for biological GBH for that.

What is scary is that he hasn't been sent off. He has caused numerous injuries.

It actually IS assault, ABH at the minimum. It's not a footballing "foul", he can actually be arrested for it.

It's amazing how much he gets away with. When he done it to Ivanovic I was convinced the police had to get involved.

Just posted this in the WC match thread, but basically Luisao the Benfica defender had a ban extended by FIFA from a domestic to a worldwide ban after he assaulted a player in the Portugese league. Clearly FIFA have the jurisdiction to apply bans regardless of the competition the action occurred in.

Err Mirallas mate?

Suarez was the victim though mate

Why Kevin Mirallas’ tackle on Luis Suarez was as bad as Roy Keane’s lunge on Alf-Inge Haaland

That's a rare exception. I don't recall Suarez being ineligible for any of Uruguay's games while on his Ivanovic holiday. Might be wrong, though. And it wouldn't be the first time.
