From the Echo:-

Lila Piriz Da Rosa feels her grandson has been victimised and treated barbarically by football's governing body.

She said: "Everyone knows what they've done to Luis. They wanted to him out of the World Cup. Perfect they did it. They chucked him out of there like a dog."

Sorry granny Suarez but that's what happens if you act like a dog on a football pitch.

    Barcelona interested in Suarez

    Posted at12:38

Despite a four-month ban that will see him out of football until the end of October, Barcelona are interested in signing Luis Suarez.

The BBC has learned that the 27-year-old is still under consideration - at the right price - by the Catalan club, who are looking at a number of strikers.

I just don't get the level of support that kopites have for him. A player who has been banned for 5 straight seasons is still supported like a hero.

Plus they like to throw duncs name into the mix. yeah we laughed at the time but he had given 6 years of loyal service at the time to warrant that little bit of love and support from the fans. Suarez didn't even make it 12 months before he was banned again!

Someone on RAWK speaking sense shock!!!

Again, I've been reading all this thread, and all the media, and to be honest, I still have zero sympathy for him and he deserves everything he's getting.
He will have missed 25% of Liverpools last two seasons for BITING players. It's a joke when you think about it.
I don't care if the FIFA ban is excessive, it probably is, but don't bite people. Simple.
25% of matches, his teammates then have to win, for a team who's fans are deprived of seeing him, who's kids ask for his name on their shirt, because he's a [Poor language removed] idiot who can't stop biting people like a 10 year old.
AND he gets paid while sitting out all these games? Bar the odd two week fine?
Baffled by the sympathy he's getting. Genuinely am.

Suarez is bigger then LFC and can do what he wants. Suarez made it known that he wanted to leave at the start of last season, he said that there was an 'understanding' that if they didn't get CL then he would be allowed to leave. Suarez was banned for biting Ivanovic put he wanted 'assurances' that he could leave if LFC didn't get CL, something that was less likely with him banned. Incredible really. Talk about the tail wagging the dog. He was saying to LFC, you've got no chance of getting CL, without me, so 'I'm off'. 'I can't go now as I'm serving the Ivanovic ban but if things are as bad as I think they will be, then I'll go in January if not then, then in the summer'. LFC started the season and by the time he came back from his ban they were doing well in the league. And by Christmas were top of the league, so no need to push for a transfer in January.

LFC were doing well and Suarez was banging in the goals, he was under no pressure whatsoever so didn't need to resort fully to his 'normal' diving, cheating biting self. They were winning matches and in the title race. There were hints that he hadn't changed and was a 'reformed' character for instance the dive to 'win' a pen against Villa springs to mind. The pathetic arm in the air, 'I'm seriously injured' against Norwich but gets up and runs 100 MPH to get the ball. They were struggling in that game so he thought' 'I need to do something'.

This 'I need to do something to win' is central to him as a player. In the Derby the other season when Mirallas was terrorising their defence Suarez thought, 'he needs stopping and no one is doing anything about it'. Suarez came back for the only time in the game and 'crooked' Mirallas with a snidey 'foot left in to rake the ankle'. Mirallas was taken off at half time and we were less of a threat. The same with the achilles rake on Distin, who was giving Suarez a tough time and Suarez was ineffective. It is premeditated.

Last season everything was going well for LFC and Suarez. They were champions elect, had beat City and Chelsea were out of the title race. He didn't need to do 'something to win' as they were winning. It was all 'we go again'. This all changed with Stevie me's slip against Chelsea and presenting Demba Ba with a goal. Their title hopes dented but City still had to win their games in hand. There were still the 'guards of honour' and Suarez was banging in the goals and gets voted player of the season.

When things are going his way then there is no trigger that sets off the, 'I'll do something to win', he doesn't resort to trying to injure players, pullling hair, poking players in the eye, kicking them in the stomach, flying two footed lunge or raking achilles etc.. The RS dominated media tried to convince the world that this showed Suarez was a 'reformed character'. Nothing could be further from the truth. The Great Capitulation at Crystambul was a devastating blow to LFC and Suarez and he was inconsolable.

They lost the league and he immediately let it be known that he was off to Spain, which was a major factor in him 'cleaning up his act'. This 'dream' move may now be at risk.

Suarez is at the World cup, get beat in the first game without him but beats England so can progress if they beat Italy. But the Italians are sitting back and even though they get a player sent off are still not really troubled by Uruguay. The pressure is immense. Suarez isn't having much influence on the game and isn't playing particularly well and it looks like they are going out.

Ping. The pressure cooker inside him is at bursting point. He feels that like at Crystambul, he's going to lose, and he explodes. The pressure is to great to handle, inside his head he's thinking, I need to do something' and he resorts to the one thing that will not get him sent off, biting. He knows this will unsettle the Italians and particular, he was hoping Chiellini would react and get sent off or lose concentration. Which is premeditated. Uruguay score from a corner and go through, job done. The end justifies the means.

Suarez was never a 'changed' man. It was RS dominated media bull that they were selling to the world. Like the, no LFC player will be blamed for England's abysmal wimpish exit from the world cup, LFC will not be at fault for what Suarez did with Uruguay. They are trying to peddle the 'he was alright with us and responded to our help and our sports psychologist' but, 'it's all gone wrong with Uruguay because he is not under our influence but under theirs'. They are peddling the 'it happened on international duty' so the ban should be international only.

The RS are scrapping the barrel in offering excuse for Suarez, not the first time and it certainly wont be the last as long as he stays. I think they were resigned to losing him but thought, 'we'll get £80 million' for him so will have loads of money to spend. FSG were also rubbing their hands at the thought of £80-£100 million. But it is the worst of all worlds for them. His price could tumble or he wont be transferred and will not play until Novemeber, denting their chances in the CL and the Premier league.

Suarez's 'I'm bigger than this club' and his behaviour has come back to bite the RS on the backside and they have become more of a laughing stock. Long may it continue. There is one thing that is certain though and it is that when the pressure is on Suarez will bite again. He showed no remorse for biting Ivanovic, something the FA commented on in their report, and has showed the same this time. Why should he change when he has been backed by LFC with a t-shirt over his racist remarks to Evra and backed to the hilt when he bit Ivanovic and now backed to the hilt, with legal threats by the Uruguayan FA and the President as well as LFC.

This is quite possibly the best post i,ve ever read regarding Bugs Bunny and the snidy agenda of blatantly going out to hurt a fellow professional..

It just makes complete sense... He knows it, we know it, indeed it seems even a good deal of the affables with half a brain know it. We know he,ll do it again!
Saurez is beyond redemption...*Facht*

No way back for the rat now at LFC. Those Kopites who think there is are deluding themselves. It'll be done and dusted soon, IMO.

As someone posted yesterday, they'll draw them in the CL this season and Suarez will knock a couple past them.

Brilliant stuff.

Dave, you better go to A&E because you've definitely had a hard-on because of this that's lasted way longer than four hours.

He's gone. Just a matter of liverpol biting the bullet on a cut price deal.

There's no way back for him in this country. As soon as he opened his grid post England game he revealed he was unlikely to come back here. This biting incident will merely involve a recalibration of the price. Liverpool bosses in Barcelona today to meet the rats lawyer and agent. There's no way the mountain goes to Mohammed for a meeting just about how they'll respond to a ban...and certainly not in a city where a courting club is based.

I reckon LFC are going to let barca worry about the ban and just get as good a deal cash wise as possible. I could see them insisting on no makeweight player deal, just cash.

I can imagine FSG's lawyers already drafting the paperwork to get rid of the horror and maybe even seeking case law to sue him for breach of contract to get out of the £3m wages he will get during the ban. However the emphasis would be on protecting their "product "LFC which lets face it has already had to be disinfected because of him. I can see him going with what some RS will see as indecent haste. Good.

He's not the only reason LFC's "brand" is in need of disinfectant. They've had nearly 30 years to build up the disease.

I think that's closer to Liverpol's position than them readying to get behind him.

Doubt it, you would think even a bad lawyer would be able to make a case querying why they are punishing him now for behaviour that they in effect rewarded a year ago - after all, they are the very last people who would be able to claim that him biting someone was unexpected.

Just 2 things,
When Big Dunc went to jail for the assault in Scotland, when he got punished which club suffered?? yes Everton.

When LFC decided to push a wall over in Europe who suffered, yes all of us.

i want them to appeal and get a bigger ban for wasting everyones time.
Now, now. The wall collapsed. Don't rewrite history.

I think it's moot anyway because the likelihood is liverpool won't be suffering in that way as he'll be elsewhere. But the issue over wages would go straight to the heart of that club v country conflict whereby clubs are punished in terms of injuries, suspensions etc. If Liverpool kept him I could see them going to court, not against Suarez but with FIFA, on that issue.
