ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

The £59.4m is the basic fee, the £63m will be an add on clause.

Payable only if something like Suarez turns vegetarian.

The difference is the drop in the value of tge euro to the pound since the end of the season. On 75million euros in May it would have been 63million pounds.

Now its 59.4 million as the pound strengthened to the euro.

It means its cheaper for them to buy foreign (european) players. If they buy British they lose 4 million pounds after converting the currency.

Which considering they bought or will have bought three Southampton players. They've lost more than 4 million!

The kopite spin machine is working flat out to try and convince the press that they're going to get north of £75m for him when the reality is they're going to trouser circa £60m.

Henry is a massive ted

Don't understand this £63m that's been banded about.

The stories that emerged yesterday were €75m, which is about £59.4m, not £63m

Its 78m Euros with a cut going to Ajax (Think I seen it at 3-4m)

So it is 63m but they will end up with the figure you quoted

What we see happening now is the Kopites in the media trying to make the figure as good as they can, They will print it in Euros or tell you there's add ons etc etc

The fact is Suarez has driven down his price and forced a move, He's took a dump on a team that has stuck by him through all of his bull when in reality he has been indefensible, They have dragged themselves through the mud and shown the world what a much of utter beauts they are all in the name of keeping there prized asset happy in fear that he will drop them and leave them stranded with an average side and an ageing captain who has become a liability

Well done Luis for showing the country what we always knew about them

Spot on.

Personally think it'll be about £50m-£55m, or £25m+Sanchez.

Sort of called it. Liverpool fans didn't realise how badly their negotiating position was dented by what Suarez did - they lost £20m on him in a split second.

In honesty, they're lucky to get £60m approx for him as if Barcelona were not so desperate as to sell their soul for a few years out of a talented player then the buyers market for him wouldn't be there after that bite and the subsequent outrageous lies.

I'm still amazed Barca want to sign a racist, dirty biter tbh. Indicative of their decline over the last year or so.

I don't think Barca even realise the damage they will do to their reputation once the rat is signed......more than a club, hardly.......

You've got to laugh at the kopites eager to lap up the club line that it's the buyout figure or nothing..

It's not quite dawned on the little sausages yet that if that was true then that would mean that there was no willingness to sell, the offer would therefore be a hostile one, offering the buyout clause figure to trigger his release. E.g. Chelsea and Costa.

No negotiations would be needed, in fact they'd be refused by the club holding the contract.

The mere fact that the RS held a formal meeting with Barca shows that they're prepared to sell, and the fact that negotiations are ongoing shows that they're haggling over the fee. There's no way on Earth that they're going to get the figure trotted out to the British media

Arsenal mate......

I mean, I hate Arsenal too like, but at least if he goes there we might actually win a Derby for once!

I honestly don't know when we'll win another one at this point. We always play the occasion. Until we sort that, I just can't see us beating them. The RAWKites will love that, but it's just how I feel. I think we've been good enough to beat them the past 4-5 times we've played them, but we just haven't been able to get over the hump

Them selling Suarez, thus removing their x-factor, gives us a better chance than we've had in years but if they then go and sign Sanchez, in conjuction with the other players they're looking at, it puts us right back where we started.

I just want us to go out there and play our game the best way we can and beat them

Just going to be delighted to see the back of the racist biting thunder [Poor language removed], wonder if the Liverpool fans will still worship him when he's gone or whether they'll call him out on it.
