After the Remy failure and then this signing, Rodgers was in the papers that he likes the look of his new strike force led by Sturridge!!!

In this morning's Daily Mail there's an article where Rodgers is bigging up that Lazer bloke BIG TIME.

I know of no other manager who persistently bigs up his players to the media like he does.

I'm sure it doesn't do them any favours. I fail to see how this benefits anyone.

...interested if Rodgers knew about this fella ahead of the WC, if not then it does indicate that he's got no transfer strategy.

I doubt he'd ever admit it but there's certainly a big scatter gun approach he uses.

The best one for me so far this summer is them paying £20m for Lovern and him claiming he'd been following him for years, well why didn't he buy him last summer for £9 instead of wasting £18m on Sakho?

....absolutely agree. Scattergun is the word I would use, along with headless chicken approach. It's high risk, but knowing them he'll be lucky enough to unearth a gem.

If I was an absolute bellend and supported that shower I would be underwhelmed by the signing so far none of them are bad players but neither do they look the type to take you to the next level

Not one of their signings has me thinking ' Oh ok, good bit of business there, he could turn out to be a great signing '. Not one of their signings. They've literally shelled out a fortune, replaced a world class player with a few average and are in no better shape than they previously were.

As you were Rodgers, as you were.
