ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

They are all prone to the odd beaut but they're certainly better than the dull UKIP loving Moseley devoted Mail.

An apt championing paper for the kopites.

Daily Mirror is no better

I'll never forget when we beat Sunderland last season thanks to an own goal and the first line of the match review was "Once again, the scorer of the goal wasn't an Everton player"

This was at the peak of them getting wanky about the loans

Really hope he gets off on this ban now, that will get the conspiracy theorists going mad thinking they were only picking on him because he played for Liverpool, and all that nonsense.

Danger of going off topic a bit but in a way I think the Mirror are more loathsome than the Sun was. I have a similar feeling about The Mail vs The Express, the Express kind of revels in its scummery while the Mail has a veneer of respectability while being just as grotty, which kind of makes them worse somehow.

Think the tabloids are all as bad as each other tbh. They need circulation, so will write about what they think people will want to read about. RS have a wider fan base than most clubs, so their coverage is wider, and more, er, sympathetic.

Remember that time all the media said Liberpewl were everyone's second favourite team and how everyone was rooting for them to win the league, yet two of their most bitterest rivals, West Ham and Villa, had huge threads on their forums hoping their OWN team got beat so Cittee won the league.

I know I keep going on about this lads but I don't ever want the memories to fade. YNWA. We go again.

They'll never get that close again and that's got to be a relief but the joy them finishing second brought was immeasurable.

' After some ace detective work '

Loved that part me.

What has tears rolling down my cheeks though, is the part where he says he has heard some people at Anfield saying its a done deal already. Read that part and look at that pic of him, that expression on his face. Clearly fancies and would of loved to see Sanchez struting his stuff at Liverpool.

Unlucky Philip :D

I hope Charlie Nicholas and Stelling remind him about that every week on Sports Saturday. "Whats happening at The Emirates, Phil ?"......
" 2-0 to the Arsenal then....what a miss that was with Sanchez grabbing two in the first ten minutes...what on earth were they thinking of at your old ground letting him get away Tommo. And you said it was a done deal ?????"
lolBring it on.

Can't forget the Mail's SPORTSWRITER OF THE YEAR MARTIN SAMUEL who tried on about the loans and then had to fight his corner

More like Ace Ventura detective work...

Apart from two times I successfully avoided RAWK for the whole of the summer but had another look today. After every single player of note has either left them or turned them down they're still talking about signing Cavani without setting off any irony detectors.

Just what is wrong with these people?

He isn't going to sign. You're stuck with Ricky Lambert and that overrated dancing freak.

Javier Manquillo: ' When they tell you Liverpool want to sign you, you are going to be absolutely amazed and you don't think of anthing else other than going straight there '

Daniel Agger:
