When I was reading that I genuinely thought it was another one of the urine extracting parodies of Kopitism we are seeing in ever greater numbers since winning the league was celebrated after 32 games.

Like all those book "reviews" about how de Red Men nearly won der Title, la'

I was shocked to read ago the end of it that it had been written by a BBC journo and was, in fact, a genuine piece :red:

For this new book;

I've not seen a team release so much garbage after winning the league, let alone NOT winning it.

State of Atkinson there as well, looks like someone's embarrassingly uncool dad

I wish I had the ability to write, I would produce a load of narcasistic crap about them and they would lap it up and make me rich.

Mate you don't have to be able to write just talk absolute bollix mention Istanbul 5 times and quote some little-known philosopher and they will lap it up

I seen a armchair fan of the r/s with a T. Shirt that had on it The liver bird LFC underneath and home of the Beatles, they are rewriting history.

Wen we won dat der champions league lids in 05 was it a coincidence I think not as de old american sayin goes "eggs cannot be unscrambled".

We've got da best young player in der werld in raheem and evry player Dr Brendan Rodgers as brought in will only improve us.

As Lewis Carroll said in Alice in Wonderland, "Begin at the beginning... and go on till you come to the end: then stop."

This and a load of pics(ala chico) and you have a best seller.

To be honest, I'm sold on Sterling ability-wise, but given his age and already chequered past it seems strange to burden him with all this pressure.

But then Rodgers is nothing if not strange.

This was written by supposedly unbiased bbc journalist Ben Smith for a book

Indulge me with a few observations here lads....

"...it was something I felt every time I was in the city. You could see it in people’s faces, hear it in their laughter." - he's right there to be fair, defo after the Chelsea and Palace games.

"the feeling of a city and a football club finding harmony." - Err... no.

"the defeat of the darkness and back-biting which has engulfed the club over the past decade that may ultimately prove the most important one of all. Liverpool burned away that darkness and let in the light with the way they played" - We'll see about that.

"From a memorable pre-season which culminated at the mythical MCG in Melbourne" - For heavens sake....

"it is a bible of what really happened" - "There are tears too, tears of pain, tears that the dream was snatched away and tears of pride." - This is what scholars might call diametrically opposed statements.

"But this was the season that Brendan Rodgers took Liverpool back to the future and created a feeling that this is now a football club ready to create new history. It no longer feels that Liverpool’s past is holding it back." - Right... Soooo now he's not the new Shankley then, I'm getting very confused here.

After the final match of the season against Newcastle at Anfield, Rodgers walked back to his office to be with his family. - Hmmmm

"He was asked when he had known the title had gone. Was it Steven Gerrard’s slip against Chelsea? ‘No, no,’ he said. ‘I knew when Jordan got sent off against Man City. I knew I couldn’t replace him. But it’s gone now. All that matters to me is that we made them dream.’- Excellent we finally get an explanation as to why you ballsed it up against Chelsea and Palace, in your infinite wisdom and clairvoyance you knew it was over, now it all makes sense. Jeezus H, if this had happened to Everton, making me dream would not be all that matters to me. How the manager contrived to screw up the opportunity of a lifetime and make us a national laughing stock would be my overriding concern.
