ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I always thought Liverpool and Everton supporters got on well? Don't you all sit together at derbies?

It's just the knobhead ones which we dislike, and most blues know a couple of sound ones. However, they do appear to have a higher proportion of these knobhead than most clubs.

I generally find that 99% of kopites (normal or knobhead ones) only really "like" us when we're not causing them any bother. Those 2 seasons we finished above them, they were hate filled morons. Loved us when we had a chance of 4th last season, which likely required us beating City. It had nothing to do with them wanting City to lose - just how boss it would be for the city etc.
They were apoplectic when we "threw" the game against City.

In short, we dislike 90% of them. 100% of them hate us, but only when it suits. Patronising aresholes.

Possibly this bloke with his history of ruined clubs. Topical too seeing as its deadline day.

If you worked at a KFC drive thru and Harry pulled up, you'd totally get your phone out and ask him to do a quick video where he jokingly said he'd signed someone silly wouldn't you?

"Yeah, we've signed Pele. He's just having his medical now"

I think the RS are definitely going to win the League now that Rodgers has told Balotelli that he has to defend at corners.

"Rodgers said the striker had initially been perplexed in training last week when asked to defend at corners. “For the first time in his life he marked at a corner,” said the Liverpool manager. “Seriously. An international player who has won three titles in Italy, cups, the Champions League. We were doing corners and I said to him: ‘I’m putting you on [a man] at [defensive] corners.’ He said: ‘I don’t mark at corners.’ ‘Ah, well you do now.’ He went in and he had a great header today from a corner. Treat him like an adult and that’s [what happens]".

That Mourinho and Mancini were in the wrong with Balotelli because they treated him like a kid. Jesus wept, what a buffoon Rodgers really is. Not only do we have Stevie me's, 'we go again', we have Brenda's 'well you do now'. I suppose the 3 envelopes tuppence ha'penny psycho babble is very 'adult'.

Liverpool 0 Everton 2 (Balotelli OG, Hibbert) really is the best thing that can possibly happen in footballing terms this month.

Alan Parry is a Liverpool supporter as well. It was in his contract that he wasn't allowed to commentate on their games when he started doing it for Sky Sports but this has now changed for some reason.

It was almost laughable yesterday. 'Liberpewl scored the most away goals last season, Liberpewl scored the most first half goals last season, Liberpewl scored the most away goals in the first half last season'

Liberpewl did a hell of a lot last season for a team who didn't win it again.

Yep you're spot on mate. For a team that actually didn't win anything last season, they didn't half "achieve a lot" according to Parry, Phil Thompson etc.

That's why I love Jeff Stelling - he is the only one who says it as it is regarding Pool. He really gets on Thompson's nose as well!

Pity the git wasn't forbidden to commentate on ours too....always trying to get the dig in. As I said yesterday on here, hes always been a massive kopite...embellishes all his RS commentaries with tales of Shankly...the boot room...misty eyed fantasia to be lapped up in the alehouses by the kit wearing cult members.

Heysel was the death knell for the "friendly derby".

While I don't go along with the whole "friendly derby" balls, this isn't true.

I didn't go the cup final in 86, but did in 89. Scores of Reds and blues both times travelled down together and in 89 most of the ground was mixed. It seemed that way anyway.

Perhaps cos we were both winning the biggest honours at the time it wasn't an issue, but I don't remember anything like the tension we have nowadays until the late 90's.... Funnily enough when we were both s***e!
