I hope with all my heart that they have to do the Guard Of Honour at Stamford Bridge for their conqueror Mourinho. And that the Chelsea fans really plastic up the flags to ride them hard.

There's no way Rodgers would start Gerrard and place him in the guard of honour, after turning down a move there ten years earlier and it being surely the biggest regret of his life.

But if Gerrard was in that guard of honour then I want it in full triple HD. So I can see his every pore and mostly just appreciate the pain he must be enduring.

Hubris can be truly beautiful.

This may appear to be a stupid question, but seriously do any of the numpties that inhabit the pit actually subscribe and pay money to watch and listen to that sh1t week in, week out ?
And despite being ex-RS with obviously little or no shame, surely even knuckleheads like Molby, Rush, Fowler etc get embarrassed putting their names, faces and voices to der werst online presence ever ?

I read somewhere that thise 2 freaks have got nearly 60k people paying £2 a month to watch that site now.

Unbelievable if true.

So set up a rival site - and pretend to be a massive R(S) (we've got lots of experience watching them lot) if someone wanted to pay £120K - in fact it would be great when they are really bad (like now). Come to think of it it's the perfect way to get them to take it up the ...

And not even making the starting XI whilst his teammates are forming a guard of honour is a whole new level of hubris altogether..

It would be great to see Slippy fall over as well.

Brendan Rodgers sacks Liverpool FC

LIVERPOOL FC manager Brendan Rodgers has announced that he is sacking the club after yet another disappointing season.

The manager made his decision after the team’s abysmal 1-0 defeat to Hull City which condemns them to yet another season of European football on ITV4.

Rodgers had warned the club that if they dropped points against Hull they would face grave consequences.

In an official statement, he said: “I would like to place on record my thanks for all the hard work put in by Liverpool FC during their tenure under me.

“However, it has become clear that as they do not have the calibre required of a Brendan Rodgers club and it is with deep regret that I must let them go. I wish them all the best for the future.”

There were tearful scenes as the club cleared its desk, looked around Anfield for the last time and strode out into the car park to an uncertain future. It is thought that they might try their luck in the American MLS league as the Liverpool Lassoes.

Meanwhile, Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City are among the frontrunners to take their place under Brendan Rodgers.

Rodgers said: “Clubs come and go. But there always has been Brendan Rodgers and there always will be. He always walks alone".

Letter to Mario.

Dear Mario,
In this crazy world we live in, someone you've never heard of or will probably never meet, feels, as a Liverpool fan, that its ok to write to you on an internet page to say welcome. But here I am, and there you are, somewhere, preparing for the Spurs game today.

But I'm writing this with real meaning when I say welcome, because you are now at a club that is different, and a club where the fans genuinely care about their team. Now I'm quite sure every fan of any team would say that, but at Liverpool, you're not just a player, you a Liverpool player and that means you're part of our family. You are now one of us, and you are now family (you're welcome round for tea anytime mate).

Welcome to a bond with a set of fans that will not just sing your name, but look out for you, welcome to a ground where the feeling is different, a sense of history, family and warmth, of times shared and where the outside world and press are invited in but never truly part of it, welcome to a place, a sense of place, a culture that sets us apart from the rest of them.

I've read about your upbringing, it must be very odd to have your everyday shared with millions, your history available for analysis and comment by strangers, and then to be called 'crazy' by these people who haven't a clue. They are the crazy folk, they are the ones who think its ok to write about other people as if they are professional pyschologists, mind readers and judges of character. Not you.

Well, welcome to a club that sets apart from that world. Liverpool is a club that does it differently, where the emotions are heartfelt not invented, the flags are fabric not plastic and the noise deafeningly sincere.

Liverpool's great players have all been special, and different and gifted and marvellous to watch, and all of them acknowledge the club has a special place in their hearts. You are brilliant at your job, wonderful to watch, and you arriving here has made a lot of people excited. You have the gift of creating emotion in men's hearts, that's the real meaning of football, and I hope I speak for all Liverpool fans when I say, have the best time of your life here, have a great career and score lots of goals sure, but really, truly, have a great life whilst at our club.

In some ways, Mario, welcome home.
