Dont get me wrong I cant stand Gerrard but I wish we could put these jibes about his kids dad to bed,There are kids involved and for me it is stepping over the line especially as the kids are getting older and could pick up on it.
Lets show a bit more class lads

You're right of course.

......the thing about yesterday is that all the concentration on Slippy Steve deflected a very poor performance. Palace could easily have scored 5 goals. BR is fortunate, in normal circumstances the best supporters in the world might even have booed at the end.

Rodgers probably had his "the occasion got the better of us a wee bit.. so it did" soundbite ready. In reality, the Gerrard circus was the liveliest part of an over hyped anti-climax that showed them for what they are...a group of over-priced individuals with no team ethos. Gerrards not soft with the new challenge/lifestyle spiel...it can cover a multitude of other flaws...like him not wanting to be associated with a football side that's going absolutely nowhere. The body language of his manager post match suggests he is glad the club idol/his heir apparent is going too....well, for now anyway or, as Carragher tweeted yesterday morning "........until he comes back on loan from the MLS in January."

Of course, its partially us Evertonians fault hes going...him being forced out to make millions in L.A after his club no longer want him......

“It is hard being a Liverpool player and handling yourself off the pitch and I’m looking forward to living a life with less intensity. It has been very difficult sometimes, with the children doing certain things like swimming lessons, or dancing lessons or going for meals or to a coffee shop.
“To be able to walk down the street with them without being asked a question is a luxury. If you are doing well, the fans want to know the reasons why, they want insights off you. If it’s the opposite, and it’s not going well, they want to know what’s going on and why - why are you not playing well.
“Then you have the blue side of the city. It’s constant, aggressive behaviour, whether you are at traffic lights or on motorways. Being a Liverpool player is a big challenge on the pitch and a big challenge off the pitch as well.”

You seen this @davek ????

There DEFINITELY is an agenda being pushed by the Mirror this weekend (this weekend its more obvious than normal). Unbelievable.

Spot on Eggs, they would have been shouting for him to be sacked, to be beaten at home so easily by CP will really stick in their throats. Think of all those suckers coming from miles away, dressed up clowns to watch that game and just wait, won't be long but they will all be crowing "I was at Stevie's last Game" and forget the result.

It's because you are such a tit, Stevie. have you ever looked at your behaviour, go and have a goodbye drink with your scumbag pals and find someone to beat up.

This is the same Manchester-based organisation that protected Cyril Smith. Remember that.

Gerrard is thug scum. Just because he was good at kicking a ball around, it does not excuse him.

If Everton fans were so awful, he would have been topped long ago. Neville was punched WHILST PLAYING at Anfield.

LFC most knowledgeable fans? I would say so. They knew/know which Everton players have children with disabilities. I didn't.

One thing I still don't understand about yesterday....

Why the hell did crystal palace and the REFEREE & LINESMEN give Slippy a Guard of honour??!!....that was an official premier league game, not Slippy's testimonial (the officials even embarrassingly high 5'd him)....should never have happened!....
