I know what a journalist is....I was a Press Officer for twenty friggin years. Hes got a byline hasn't he ? I didn't say he was a good journalist just that he had the balls to publish this.

Likewise, I was also a press officer for about ten years and had articles published in both magazines and national newspapers. I didn't label myself as a journalist as I didn't train as one, I kinda fell into it by accident.
As for Durham, sometimes he talks absolute tosh on the radio, sometimes he's extremely insightful and lucid. This article about Sterling strikes me as being of the latter status.

Hahaha, Prem managers football cards, who did Brenda play for.......

I didn't know Mark Hughes' real name was Leslie!

Probably sell him for 50 plus,The owners at liverpool are good at getting full whack for the top players they sell.

Torres
Suarez
Sterling

Is over 150 million.

haha course they will :s the owners don't even do anything, they set an astronomical figure because they don't think the teams will be stupid enough to pay it, yet they do and the player wants to leave because they're a small-time club. he's overrated to the hilt, look at all his stats - he's worth what they paid for him imo.

Thats how I feel. Its unusual to see LFC (ex staff and all) being portrayed in anything close to a bad light in all the sycophantic gush the media churns out about them.

“I’m in a difficult position,” Enrique said. “The club have alienated Balotelli, Borini and me. I have a year left on my contract and I imagine the club will want to sell, but I still want to stay and fight as I always have. I will not give up. I know from experience that football changes from day to night.”

Enrique underwent surgery for a serious knee injury in 2013 and has failed to recapture his best form for the club ever since. He has made 76 Premier League appearances since joining from Newcastle United in 2011.“I feel fine after two years with knee discomfort,” he said. “Plus in the squad here we only have one pure left-back [Alberto Moreno] and I know that if I stay I’ll play. I want to prove that some are wrong.”

Enrique said moving away from Anfield would be a step down in his career. “What I think is that I will not play in a team better than this,” he said. “Liverpool are a match for Manchester United. I had a very good option to return to Spain, but [it] is complicated because the economy is very different from what exists here. The only teams that can deal with what is paid in England are Real Madrid and Barcelona, so I would love to stay here until my legs stop me.”

So in other words he's staying for the money

Good move on his part. Drains money from them, stops them from getting a fee for him and then gets a nice wedge when he signs for his next team. Balotelli doing similar would be excellent.
That is always a risk when you take the approach Rodgers has done of dumping them from the first team and making them train with the kids - if you are not being treated with respect then there can be a natural tendency to want to even the score by being as awkward and difficult as possible.

I always thought Enrique was decent. Nothing special going forward but he always seemed tough to get past because of his strength. Sacking him off for the bang average Moreno was another Rodgers masterstroke especially when it cost them about £15m for the privilege.

You've probably seen this, but it's just jealousy right? I mean nothing to do with being a genuinely detestable football club followed by beauts?

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-one-most-hated-9844207?

their fans constantly veer from the point. everytime a player/a fan does something vile, they always use an excuse i.e. but someone else did it.

look at the comments and they keep saying how united are the most hated and are asking questions as to why that isn't the story, instead of this ..... in the LIVERPOOL echo - you know the local paper which is discussing events to do with the city of Liverpool.

they make a great point :s

also how the hell are those racist supporting, murdering thugs not bottom? is it because they never challenge for the league that nobody is that arsed about them and hence are a tad jealous at united's success?
