Are you sure, a fit and firing Rooney makes Benteke look like Carlton Cole.
did you see him on friday? he'll put away some chances but he's getting close to his sell by date i reckon. Fitness level looked appalling, such a shame. Benteke will be great for them sadly.

Just flicking through da meltdoon and they're Everton thread. It's incredible their inflated sense of self worth after beating Bournemouth and Stoke 1-0, I love it. I wonder what the inside of their brain looks like...

You're kidding right? Aldridge owns it? Then he also owns all the Signature Hotels and Flats in the vicinity (since it is absolutely necessary to let anyone you know this significant fact).
Him and Ian Callaghan behind it. probably not all their money but anything aldo has to do with it is bad.

Vintage Rodgersbollox, post match and were only two games in..... the man who threw man mountain Carroll under the bus.

There was one moment the ball came into the box, and it was one of the reasons we looked to bring him in,” explained Rodgers.
“With his strength and power, he tried to make the contact with it - but it dropped and we had a chance for Coutinho to then shoot.
“In my time here, that hasn't really happened. Balls have come in and been cleared out, but because of his physicality, he keeps the ball alive in dangerous areas of the field.
“Once the players get used to seeing that and working with that, that offers more opportunities to score goals. It gives us a different dimension to the game, while looking to retain the philosophy to move the ball and get that fluency. But that will come over the coming months.”

Klopp for Liverpool. HAHAHAHAAHAHAHA THAT IS HILARIOUS!!

I know you're over exaggerating the hilarity of it as some kind of comforting effect but lets be honest, it's really not that far fetched. They are a big club and sooner or later they will get a good manager after a run of stinkers (hodgson, dalglish, rodgers), Klopp will become available as a manager sooner rather than later and if Liverpool are going nowhere under rodgers then i wouldn't be at all surprised to see them go after Klopp. That doesn't mean they get him but i think it's definitely a job which he would consider.

Might not be far-fetched, no. Although if klopp has any nous about him he'll know to steer clear of what'll be a poisoned chalice; because if things don't go right quickly, then not only will the media be putting pressure onto him, so will their fans AND the board - all driven by media hype/expectation.

Same goes for any high-profile manager. I think there's a good few managers out there are well aware of this, as much the non-rs fanbase nationwide are. If it doesn't happen immediately for the next manager, FSG'll pull the plug after a certain amount of net spend. Their ahem *history* will no longer be a draw if that happens.

Who they'll end up with then is the likes of yesterday's man, out of the game for a while - gullit or hoddle for example. They'll end up as what city were before the arab money......hire & fire cowboys.

That day can't come quick enough.

Mario Balotelli designs world's most bizarre football boots
New line of children's boots from Puma feature a mohawk haircut (yes, really)

Do not let it be said that Mario Balotelli has made no contribution to football this season.

The out of favour Liverpool striker has collaborated with Puma to produce a new line of children's football boots - and they're unbelievable.

The Puma evoPower boots are part of a special edition series and - unfortunately for any Sunday League footballers keen to make a target of themselves - will only be available in junior sizes.

On top of a slightly dubious looking mohawk on the heel, the boots also feature Balotelli's now infamous shirt slogan "Why Always Me?".

Puma have even produced a ball to accompany the new boots - no, honestly, they have - boasting the same Balotelli-inspired hairdoo.

The 25-year-old has not made a single Premier League appearance for Liverpool so far this season, after claiming he's being frozen out by manager, Brendan Rodgers.

The former Manchester City striker, who was in attendance for Liverpool's 1-0 victory over Bournemouth, has been linked this morning with a move to Premier League new boys, Watford. However it's understood the Italian striker will stay at Anfield in order to secure a lucrative loyalty bonus.
