Norwegian Liverpool fans call their daughter YNWA after club song

A Norwegian couple love Liverpool so much they’ve decided to name their daughter after the club’s famous ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’ song.

We’re not joking.

The pair are die hard Reds fans and they had joked about naming their baby YNWA – the abbreviation of the chant – before she was born.

But their decision was made up following complications with the birth meant the child nearly died following an emergency caesarean operation.

The girl eventually pulled through and her dad told Norway TV he decided on the YNWA name after talking to her during recovery.

that club does something odd to people i'm sure. do they gas them when they make their once in a decade trip to anfield? you see the one fan who goes way over the top in love, every club has ONE. but they seem to have thousands like this, just utter weirdos.

Here's what a RAWK 'game' looks like..

Liverpool Squad and the "Rule of Thirds"
« on: April 7, 2015, 04:23:08 PM »
So just as an interesting little flight of fancy (and to lighten the mood after the weekend!), and to see what people think of the squad and the players we have in it, here's a little game, of sorts.

The game is simple. The pitch is divided into 9 zones - Left, Central and Right channels, and then Forward, Midfield and Defence lines. The task is to put the players in our 25 man squad (minus the keepers, who have a set position) into the areas of the field you think they are naturally best at, or where you think they'd be most effective, etc. There are a few rules though:

1) Players can't be named more than once. Even though we have players who play multiple positions, they can only be placed in one zone - for example, Can can play in either central midfield, or central defence. But he can't be placed in both

2) Formations don't come into it. It's just the area of the field you think a player would be at their strongest, or best placed for the team (there is no zone for goalkeepers, because goalkeepers are always in the same zone

)

3) Feel free to debate the merits of each posters choices, but bear in mind that every poster will have a different perspective. Hopefully that's where we'll get some good discussion from. There is no "right answer".

4) Disregard whether players are leaving. We're talking about where players might play on the field now, although I'm sure there might be scope to discuss what a player's departure might mean for that zone of the field

To help, there is attached an image of a 9-zone grid. If you copy the image to your computer, you can write in your names into each zone, and then upload it via Imgur or something and post the link for all to see.

If you don't want to do that, then here is a text diagram of the zones. I'm using notepad and the "code" function to get it set right. It might require a bit of work to format it properly, though. Alternatively, you can use "quote" or "code" for each line, and then format for left middle and right channels for each line? Either way, as long as the grids/lists are clear, we should all know what we're all talking about

The available squad:

1 Adam Lallana
2 Alberto Moreno
3 Daniel Sturridge
4 Dejan Lovren
5 Emre Can
6 Fabio Borini
7 Glen Johnson
8 Javier Manquillo
9 Joe Allen
10 Jon Flanagan
11 Jordan Henderson
12 Jordon Ibe
13 José Enrique
14 Kolo Touré
15 Lazar Markovic
16 Lucas Leiva
17 Mamadou Sakho
18 Martin Skrtel
19 Philippe Coutinho
20 Raheem Sterling
21 Rickie Lambert
22 Simon Mignolet
23 Steven Gerrard
24 Mario Balotelli

So lads I've played it a number of times and though the graphs are hard to get used to, by the fourth time playing it, I can confirm that it's the greatest game I have ever played. And this year is ACTUALLY dere year.

Anyone that called their child 'NSNO' would be utterly eviscerated on here for child abuse.

Yet they seem to think this is normal?

That is just plain mean to the baby

.....selling him for £5m doesn't seem good business, especially when considering the long list of expensive failures they have had since Shelvey left.

Agreed. I'm no fan of uncle fester, but for three times what they got for shelvey they paid for Joe Allen - most appropriate case in point....Even if he did leave after allen arrived. It's not just Soton had a good bunce out of gnashers

Shelvey is basically the exact type of player that they need atm as well, makes it all the more amusing the flogged him for next to nowt, the muppets
