Comment from the Echo link:

"Their decline probably coincides with the purchase of our club, so all of a sudden we're getting blamed by their fans for every defeat they suffer."

And all of a sudden it becomes all about 'them'.

Narcissistic lunatics.

I'm still having discussions with a red fan about the rugby style tackle by the Udinese lad last night. He is fuming and convinced it should have been red.... my calm nature is pointing out to him that it was not violent conduct and he was not the last defender so was not in theory denying a clear goal scoring chance, therefore a yellow card was indeed the correct decision. The fume is fantastic.

Doesn't help when you have the monumentally stupid and bizarre Andy Townsend screeching 'red card' either.

I think that challenge was the best thing about last night, it deserved not to be a red card because it was so hilarious and the only thing you can say against it was that he didnt do it to Suarez.

Borini is interesting as the reds seem to be ignoring he cost £12m and talking as if he's an exciting young prospect who cost £3-4m & they're also reminding me of us when we used to talk about misfiring strikers 'working hard' or 'making some great runs'

i watched him when he was on loan at swansea and helped get them promoted, he clearly stood out (against championship defenders) and would have been a good signing for THEM as they would be looking to survive in the prem. he's no more than a mid-table striker, otherwise chelsea would not have been arsed about letting him go for free. i do not understand why they felt the need to spend 12 million on him, he never replicated form of such a tag. i really feel sorry for the yanks, then again, you shouldn't buy into a sport you know nothing about

[h=1]Steven Gerrard: Liverpool can still finish in top four and win a trophy[/h]
Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard says a top-four finish in the Premier League and a trophy remains a realistic aim.
Brendan Rodgers's side are 14th in the Premier League, while they are also struggling in the Europa League.
Asked what Liverpool's realistic target was, Gerrard told Football Focus: "Top four and a trophy."
Questioned whether that was still achievable, he said: "Yes. We're six games in. The Norwich win will be the catalyst to push us on."
Liverpool beat Norwich 5-2 on Saturday, but lost 3-2 at home to Udinese on Thursday in the Europa League.
Gerrard said: "I think teams will find it really difficult to play against us and I'm confident we can go on a run of winning games.
Former Swansea manager Rodgers took over from club legend Kenny Dalglish in June but Liverpool have won only one league match out of six and are only three points above bottom-of-the-table QPR.
After the Udinese loss Rodgers called his players lazy.
But midfielder Gerrard, whose side play Stoke at Anfield on Sunday before another home game against Reading, said: "I'm confident we can go on a run of winning games.
"They are good opportunities but they are also tough games. They are games we should be winning, certainly here at home.
"We've being playing well for a number of weeks, so if we can continue that I am sure we can take maximum points in both those games."

Rodgers is full of ****, they've fallen for his blarny in a way that's poetic, they'll be a way further up **** creek before they wake from the hypnotic trance that he's put them under, with his softly delivered NI babble.

Bill Shankly died 31 years ago. The next RS under 40 who says that Rodgers is 'just like Shankly' should be introduced to a ragman's trumpet.

How the **** would they know what he was like?
