they were 4 points off second place in the league at the time.

We were 27.

so yeah, context chico. they were having a good season and if they, shock horror finished second again or not had a massive fall away then Rodgers wouldn't have been sacked now.

Mate, just bite down on the pillow and take your vaulting like a good sport. You know we all love you really x

Another ref on another day could easily have deemed kicking Ivanovic in the leg when the ball was underneath him as being excessive. When the ball is between a players legs and you have to kick them in order to play the ball, especially with the force that Naismith used you are running the risk of an over zealous ref applying the lettler of the law.

Lucky for us Chelsea didn't make more of a big deal over it.
Do you buy when everyone else is selling?

They seem to be making homophobic allegations about our players now over on RAWK.Everton FC has been to the forefront in fighting homophobia in football.Their are also upset about the murderers chant.Personally myself i think it's fair game.Liverpools FC'S flippant treatment of the victims of Heysell over the past 30 years has been a disgrace.Liverpools supporters murdered 39 Juventus fans that night. It took them 20 years to acknowledge that in the form of a patronizing oh yeah were sorry we murdered all you're fans tribute before a champions league match against Juventus. It took them 25 years to put a tiny minuscule tribute plaque to the Heysell victims at the side of the Centenary Stand. The families of the Heysell victims then had to put up with claims that their loved ones started the trouble that night. They fled for their lifes yet it was the Juventus supporters fault for what happened that night. They claimed that the Liverpools fans that night were set upon by the Juventus ultras despite the ultras being on the other side of the ground. The familes of the Heysell victims have been treated like dirt by Liverpool FC and their fans.

When Carragher said "they think they're still a big club but are just like Spurs" it something I've been saying for a few years (bar 2 years ago!). I've always thought their 'slide'was about 10 years behind ours but somehow they clung on. Worldwide support, media darlings and all that. Throw in the odd good season and they've hung on to the coat tails etc etc. We've slid down (sometimes to the depths, but risen back to a level just below the 'top' teams. Their last throw is this ground development. Fair play because they're having a go. But if they slip to 8th or 9th for a couple of years the heat will be on. Hopefully this happens and 'worldwide' support goes elsewhere. We are better right at this moment but not by much to be honest. Our lack of ability to compete financially (ground etc) always the catalyst for us. Interesting times.

I think @Ashtonian and @hktoffee receive when everyone else is giving
1.0

Why any self respecting, decent manager would want to take over at that cess pit of self entitled, title demanding, no shame showing, bitter quilts is beyond me. Just listening and reading the media this morning about how they should be attracting world class managers and world class players makes my skin crawl. They haven't been of any real significance since MC Hammer was storming the charts.
