The media can't seem to tell the difference between the media wanting a successful Liverpool team so even more of their armchair fans watch their product and fans of other clubs wanting them to succeed who only two years ago celebrated their failure to win the league as much as we did.

Their model of operation seems to be the following.
1) Shout at (not to) the outside world that they are jealous.
2) Keep doing this over and over in a "four legs good two legs bad" fashion.
3) Someone from outside the Cult disagrees with them. Says we are not that worried or jealous about Klopp.
4) Insult that person. Call them a knob/bitter/envious/Scared. Cite they are talking about Klopp as evidence (even if it is response to a direct and continual accusation from them).
5) Tell other members of the Cult they are not shouting loudly enough and thats leading to those from the outside world to be bitter/envious. Claim the need for greater unity.
6) Then back to point 1.
It's a very simple approach. The key point is point 4. There always has to be a conspiracy as to why people disagree with them. If it's us we are jealous and bitter. If it's the media it's because they are in Murdochs pocket (why Murdoch would want to insult a major part of his finance base I don't know). Or if it's United/Arsenal they are obviously scared.
It can never be that people are not too bothered about the Klopp appointment. They feel that Klopp is a potential decent appointment, better than Rodgers but that this Liverpool say are way behind their competitors to ever be considered a risk. FFS they have Milner/Lucas playing central midfield!
They can never accept that reality though, as it breaks with the idea they have of the world. That they have to be successful and only conspiracies can prevent them taking their rightful place at the top.
For the record I am happy for them, I am happy they have got a better manager than Rodgers and it will be exciting for them as an approach. I have gone beyond hating them, I just pity them now. They are a pathetic club who haven't won anything in years. Finishing above them is like Finishing above Spurs, it is no barometer.
