ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Compete with Chelsea, Arsenal, United:

- Buy players for £25m+ & £150k a week.
- Expand Anfield or build a new one £100m - £500m+
- Expand marketing into Asia etc and charge £100m+ for someone to put their name on our shirt.

Owners: Okay but as investors we expect to see a contribution to the bills and development, £77 okay ?

Fans: How dare the investors spend £100m each summer and build us a new stand, how dare they increase sponsorship revenue benefitting our club to place a few billboards in the ground. Then they expect us to contribute to it ?

You can get a season ticket for Barcelona to watch Neymar, Messi and Suarez for £73. Liverpool want to charge £77 for a game to watch Milner and Benteke.

Its great isn't it, they claim to be the best team in the land so maybe they should be charged the equivalent prices to watch such class.
Remember Sterling being a better player than barkley until he wanted out. Remember them telling me Henderson will be gerrards heir to the throne - cant live with them, cant live without them. Pure comedy genius as though it was written by Ronnie barker himself.

There is more talk of walkouts, don't the RS bellends realise they are PAYING to walkout.

I think they do mate. But putting local rivalries to one side, the impact/spectacle of 10000 folk walking out, and maybe more if they repeat it, is more of an, er, impact/spectacle than 10000 not going. That would be just like a few cup games against some rubbish.

Why don't they set a real example and not go at all ? Surely starting a game with no atmosphere would be a clear indication that without fans - there is no support/atmosphere/football.

What happened was they went 2-0 up at home, gave some support, thought the game was over anyway and walked out early. Something a lot of them do anyway to avoid traffic by the way. Just leave the seats empty from the get go and it will be something the owners will be made aware of, I mean falling attendances will make them realise more than 40,000 paying fans who walk out with 10 minutes to go ?

Spot on.

2-0 up against gash Sunderland and an early dart.

If it was 0-0 against United, none would have left.
