Its a contact sport and this kind of comes with the territory, we've had plenty of players injured by poor challenges. However, the reports that Everton fans sat in the Liverpool end were spat on repeatedly by Liverpool fans is much, much worse. A father and his 14 year old son had to leave the ground early after they were targeted by these Liverpool fans spitting on them throughout the match. this was reported on Radio Merseyside, but nothing has been said anywhere since.
