Palace bidding the same amount for Batshyayi,they pretty much told everyone in the league they have money,They bought Tomkins for 12 million as well yesterday,Those americans who bought the club look like they have some dosh behind them.

This new tv deal has just skewed the prices for players.

i want them to sell him because they still haven't realised just how good he is. But he's done nothing at liverpool to suggest he's worth what they paid for him, his fee should have dropped by half by now. Same with joe allen, i heard they're wanting £16m from swansea and swansea are willing to pay half ... which is how it should be. They don't play these players so they have only got worse and decreased in value. Benteke should be a £20m, take it or leave it.

It's as if we don't want to sell Lukaku by slapping such a hefty price. Just like they didn't want to sell their best players like torres, suarez and sterling so slapped prices so high on them no team could buy them.

How odd. He claims that we have put such high values on them so they are not bought, i.e. we do not receive cash, and then claims that we are trying to pull in cash by putting such high values on them. RS logic, I guess.

I have already been accused of being a Kopite because I don't rate Mata in the other thread but you can believe what you want. I stopped hating Liverpool ages ago, it's pointless. They're no better than us and haven't won anything of note for over a decade! They are nowhere near the size of Arsenal, Man Utd or even Chelsea these days and it really annoys them. Liverpool are a stepping stone for the really good players. Getting Klopp was quite the coup considering how damn rubbish they are these days. But he isn't a magician, no manager is. He worked with world class players at Dortmund. At Liverpool he has a squad where Jordan Henderson is captain and James Milner is vice captain. And yet again, their owners are making 'Moneyball' signings. They still haven't learned that this doesn't work in the Premier League.

None and I repeat, NONE, of their signings are going to get them CL football so far. Look at Man Utd bringing in Ibrahimovic and Mkhtarayan without CL football whilst Liverpool scramble around for unknowns like Matip and more Southampton players.

And what happens IF (and it's a big IF) Matip and co turn out to be worldies? They will sell them to Barcelona or Chelsea. Liverpool are a selling club. They can't attract the big players so have to settle for the crumbs.

They're a joke of a club now and have been for quite a while. Only one set of fans actually delude themselves into thinking they're still a huge club and that's Liverpool fans.

Fair enough mate, each to their own!

Don't get me wrong, I have enjoyed their consistent failings of the last decade or so. But life is too short to spend actively hating that lot across the park.

We've got work to do and we have a bright future. It's exciting being an Everton fan right now.

Yip.....even if they were relegated to League 2 we couldn't help but hate them.

It is only right and proper.

The rest of the football world hates them, why should we be any different :)

What we need to do though is stop fearing them.

As Angel says they are "crap".......yet we approach every derby as if we are fielding our starting XI circa 2001 and they are still in their Dalghlish/Souness/Rushie era prime.

You know what EFC need....and has needed for literally decades now.

To go out and muller them by four or five goals.

Make it happen, Ronald ;)
