ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

Manager ALWAYS comes out better off at RAWK.
The authorities on RAWK are utterly draconian when it comes to surprising any form of criticism of their current manager; it's simply not allowed.

Their dogma is that whoever is in charge should be supported and as such questioning their decision isn't tolerated. It's laughable!

However, RAWK is its own microcosm whereby you need to multiply their already fanciful (sorry fanatical) views of superiority and status.

I think in the real world there'll be some questions whether who should get the support: I'm sure Klopp will ultimately win but Sakho is well liked.

Maybe you can ask him to lend you it because you're missing it completely.

I just don't think the signings are as bad as people make out. I watched Gini a fair bit in the eredivisie and he looked good, done well for a poor NUFC team. The transfer figure in this current climate is expected really. The money they got for I be,smith and Allen was good business, I wouldn't pay £15m for all three never mind just I've but fair play to them.

The worry for me is that come the end of the window JK will have players - better players, although not great to compliment his style of play. What Klopp is trying to do is get a half decent team for the top four then progress from there, something we are struggling to do right now. If you disagree then that is fine we are only given our opinions, I just think some on here are hoping they do badly the same way LFC fans believe we are nothing yet some of them admit they are interested to see what the blues can do under Moshiri.

I would have thought never allowing criticism of the manager/players just leads to delusion and, ultimately, massive fallouts. Didn't they make an exception for Moreno though? And how do they go on when they pay £4M for a keeper to "replace" the "perfect" (and more expensive) Mignolet?

There's no good reason to scapegoat players without fair cause - anyone can remember Lescott (among others) deserving it and, latterly, Lukaku for different reasons.

I agree he's creating a team that plays that dortmund style football,i loved watching that team on tv in it's pomp around 11-13,best team i've ever seen on transition, lightening quick as soon as they won the ball, interesting that he has full control of transfers now and while he's there he will be targetting players who play that way,Karius is part of that german generation of keepers who are great with their feet so the whole defence will be pushing to the halfway line making the pitch smaller for the opposing teams which his dortmund team did,Matip is a highline front foot defender, who's perfect for that team set up,Wijnaldum is great at picking the ball from deep and running (look at his PSV 14-15 youtube videos on him playing CM) and Mane is pace and goals from one of the flanks,Those 4 signings point to Klopp being in charge of transfers and building a team to play his Dortmund style,i think they have done good business transfers wise for his 1st summer and they have a relatively young team to boot.

You've not taken into consideration that their 'support' is more akin to some quasi-religious cult rather than people following a football club.

Anfield is their place of worship... the likes of Shankly are seen as deities and Klopp is a reincarnation of those Gods who've gone before him.

To question Klopp therefore amounts to blasphemy, hence why any criticism isn't allowed. It's quite embarrassing really!

Nah. The scales fell from their eyes about Brenda about the same time we did with Martinez. Given a few months either way.

edit. Local, match going Kopites do know their football, will give them that. Well most do.

All 6 of them.

Their only hope is if the sum of the parts is better the individuals. I've had a good look at their squad here:

http://www.espnfc.com/club/liverpool/364/squad

With the greatest will in the world there isn't a single player in that list who would be coveted by the big clubs. Not sure Koeman would even be interested in many. It's just not a good squad. Milner, Mane, Moreno, Clyne, Matip, Wijnaldum, Lovren, Sahko, Firmino.....it's really mediocre and it's quite frightening when you remember how much they've spent constructing it.

All sorts of wrong. It's an extremely mediocre side and considering how much the rags have spent over the last 2 seasons alone, I'm surprised there isn't more quality in that team. Granted, some good players in Coutinho and Can but they don't have any consistency whatsoever.
Klopp when he was in charge at Dortmund had Pisczeck, Hummels, Gundogan, Blasczykowski, Reus, Gotze, Kagawa and Lewandowski all, at the time, proficient, high energy and consistently good players. Klopp got lucky assembling that team and has been living off of it since.
