I see Joe Allen has had the 'Liverpool Way' kiss off..... putting Tony Hibbert's expected but still unseemly tata seem almost dignified by comparison.

I actually had a text message off a friend congratulating me about making the move when I didn’t even know it was happening at the time,” he says. “Not knowing whether the club intend to sell you or keep you, especially when you’re trying to ask the question, is disappointing.
If I’m honest, to find out they accepted an offer through the press isn’t the best way of going about business, I don’t think. The communication wasn’t great but as soon as Liverpool accepted an offer I knew what their intentions were for me. It was a bit strange but that’s how things happen sometimes. There was no real goodbye, but I’m not the most sentimental person anyway. It’s irrelevant now because sitting here I’ve got the move I wanted.”

Refreshingly, Allen wasn't even arsed either...says it all really. What with Torres this week saying he was cast in the role of traitor in leaving them....
“Liverpool could not admit they were doing something wrong with the whole team. They had to find a guilty one.”

Its good to see their traditions being upheld. Trebles all round I think.

Haha and all the 'classless' shouts when hibbert went to the daily scum. Don't even to explain how this is so much worse.

No letter to the fans then Joe?

Benteke will do well at Palace with Pardew's direct football.

He thrives on that sort of football when it's direct and he can be a battering ram,he'll score 15 goals plus there every season and keep them up.

RS have got a good deal out of it,£27 million upfront with easy add ons that will get it back to 32 million they paid Villa.
Well in whoevers banned this one. Irritating tw@.

No sign of the Allen story making the Liverpool FC Echo.. wonder why that is! Whereas they happily give lots of lovely free publicity to the privately owned Shankly Hotel.

Add to that the regularly regurgitated article talking abut the progression of their new Main Shed and how close it is to completion.

By the way, isn't there first game another three weeks away so it cannot be that close to being finished? Hmmmm...
