ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

One day they'll produce a club-funded pantomime called Shankly: The Story of the Man, the Boss, the Icon. Something extremely embarrassing like that. They have no self-awareness at all.
They should put a hologram of him in their ugly industrial new stand as a homage to their make believe aura of Shankly - man of the people. Lets face it, post retirement he was welcomed by our people at Goodison and Bellefield more than at their humpty yards where he was humiliated.

Does anyone know if they have sold all the extra seats
I'm thinking with a million year waiting list etc haven't heard any bragging
West ham have sold all theirs
We have been told not many seats for any games
Gonna be interesting watching attendance figures
Maybe I'll become the saddo who posts our figures on their site every home game

Sure didn't they have to drop the price after all the walk outs - you'll never walk etc.

It always amuses me, how often they've been relegated to that never seems to come up.

The stadium will kill them and leave them to linger in their tin pot ground and flat pack stand, looks awful btw, Anfield has to be one of the ugliest grounds in the country.

and that bloody guy on speakerphone announcing goalscorers. What a miserable sod he is, it is great when some relegation fodder as scored a last minute winner though and his miserable announcement just fits the gloom around the thousands leaving the stadium perfectly. But seriously, someone needs to put him out his misery, he's in the wrong job.

One of those uncomfortable truths........

One of those uncomfortable truths........

They seem oblivious to them, like their "legend" Gerrard kicked out the door and told to do one, King Kenny was also stabbed in the back.

Every past player lifts their skirt on the punditry circuit every weekend selling their wares to make a crust, shameful institution and I use that term loosely.

I'm looking forward to the Yanks taking them to the cleaners to, they are you know.

Klopp say's he won't panic buy, the fact that he even thought it tells you something.

I hope he gets another #10. It's almost like Brenda shiney face again, just buy loads of players and hope they'll fit in.

Won't be long before Jurgen is walking alone.

As I've said before on this thread our treatment towards the former arch nemesis shankly shows how much we are the better club. Could you imagine Alex Ferguson being treated to a bacon sarnie and a cuppa at melwood?

He's my favourite thing about them. He's the only one who doesn't go ridiculously over the top, I reckon he's a secret blue who lost a bet.

Be in no doubt that Shankly was the man who started the "cult" despite what happened after he left the rs........as the song goes Oh we hate Bill Shankly etc Man of the people my arse

I couldn't stand Shankly the showman when I was young and sang the song myself. But I was in my mid teens when he retired and mellowed to him after the humiliating way they treated him and his open gratitude to Everton for the respect our club's players and hierarchy showed him. Im pretty sure even Bill Shankly would shudder and recoil at some of the shameless goings on amongst the RS since he passed away. "The Cult" now in residence is a self perpetuating windbag which serves only as a template of their jaded hackneyed folklore. A bleedin' hilarious one though, at that !
