Got up to "I'm not saying Balotelli is going to be as good as the original Rinaldo BUT..."
And turned it off, I'd heard enough
If you watch it closely you can see hes listening for his mum to come up the stairs with his "special sweets" that calm him down then she will put his LFC number one fan pjs on him, thats shes warmed up in the dryer so he little soldier doesnt get a chill, then tuck him in under his club duvet cover before reading the next chapter of dare to dream

Bless her heart!

Only after one of us has smashed her back doors in.

That fan reaction video is a perfect summation of the cult.

Imagining balotellis some great player (great players don't sign for liverpool anymore).
Cringey nickname to imply the great familial spirit.
Talking about the special powers of the manager.
The 'next year' optimism in the comparison with Ronaldo.

But hey, at least he never bit anyone.

Balotelli comfortably outstrips Oumar Niasse in every regard: wasted transfer fees, wages (by some distance) and level of achievement compared with expectation..
Disagree. For all Balotelli's failings and how much they've wasted on him, at least he's actually a footballer and one who's proven he can score.

With Niasse we've paid £2.5m less (before wages) and got an absolute duff. Still a massive failure by Liverpool but pot, kettle jumps to mind.

I've been trawling Soccerbase for some of the great purchases that the RS have spectacularly blown money on and arrived at an annual award for sheer stupidity. I didn't realise they had blown so much money almost year on year on such complete guff.

Recent winners (if they can be called that) include

15/16 Benteke 32.5M
14/15 Markovic 20M, Balotelli 16M and left-back-in-the-changing-rooms Moreno 12M
13/14 The class of 2013 - Luis Alberto/Iago Aspas and Tiago Ilori for 7M each
12/13 Borini 10.5

Further back such luminaries as Carroll 35M, Aquilani 20M, Riera 8M, Dossena 7M, Downing 20M, Adam 9M

and further back such greats - who could forget Sean Dundee, Diomede, El Hadj Diouf and Cisse..

How much did they pay for The Welsh Pirlo aka Allen

Yeah they've taken that video down lol.

Half the price of Diego Costa!!

Yeah, there's a reason for that, chief.

That was probably the best Redmen TV video that was ever made, if you looked closely in the background you could see the "Men" with the "Butterfly Nets" sneaking up and getting ready to take the Ritilan Kid away. The Loon was at his manic best so much so I feared for his sanity and his poor mam's bedsheets that night.

Pray for the bedsheets:bye:

ritilan kid.webp

Betcha he has heard this said to him every night of his saddo life so far...

One silver lining of the window was that the kopites didn't do any better in the market either. for as good as klopp may be, they have not improved at all realistically on the pitch.
