ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

I find the whole gloating over Sterling thing a bit rich coming from blues given that Pienaar was arrested for assaulting a woman a few years back.

Most of us here condemned Pienaar for that. We didn't think it was funny and try to justify it because he happens to play football for us.

Unlike the affables who will no doubt blame the victim to the point that Sterling is the 'victim'.

They are fair game as far as I am concerned.

Most I knew preferred to remain open-minded until more was known about the case, preferring not to cast judgement on someone just because they had been arrested. I'd suggest a similar approach with Sterling, especially given he's not even been arrested.

Thank you so much for your input.

Where would we be without these moral guardians of ours.

Someone who names themselves after a killer/terrorist pontificating on an internet forum...

I suggest instead of trying to associate yourself with scum via your username, you try presenting yourself in a less disturbing manner.

It wasn't about being a moral guardian, it was about being no better than that shower with hypocritical attitudes.

From what I can tell Sterling was called up to be questioned in relation to the incident and not as a suspect. Could just have been a witness.

I mentioned to a few people on here just over a month ago about 'rumours ' his latest girl's (Shona Ann rose !) mum had been to the club to complain about his 'temper issues'.

I've no idea about this incident , whether its the same girl , incident or his status. I also know from better experience how clueless the cops can be on occasion but I do hear strong rumours the kid has 'issues'

He doesnt seem to have problems on the pitch tho, he seems calm and collected.

"Swansea defender Ashley Williams has launched an extraordinary attack on Luis Suarez, accusing the Liverpool forward of being a serial cheat and admitting he was so riled by the Uruguayan in one game last season that he wanted to 'knock him out'. Writing in his book My Premier League Diary, which went on sale on Tuesday, Williams claimed Suarez dived more than any other player he has faced and went on to slam his 'superior' manner on the pitch.

The comments will be particularly inflammatory as Swansea host Liverpool on Sunday, a fixture that marks Brendan Rodgers first competitive return to the Liberty Stadium since leaving for Anfield in the summer. Referring to Swansea's 0-0 draw with Liverpool at Anfield last November, Williams wrote: 'Suarez has that aura about him that says, "I'm untouchable", and his manner and behaviour made me want to knock him out. 'I'd go as far as to say that the manner in which he approached the game, with utter contempt for us all, means that he's streets ahead of any player I've truly disliked since we've been in the Premier League. 'He dived more than any other player I've played against before - it was so bad I was genuinely shocked. 'Throughout the game, he just dived down and screamed at any given moment. 'Now, obviously, diving has crept into the game more and more in recent years and, as a defender, you have to be aware of it.

'But even the players you know that like a dive at least wait until there is some sort of challenge or contact. Not Suarez. 'A couple of times I'd hear the scream, see him writhing on the floor and for the life of me couldn't see where the contact could have been.' Ironically, the book was sanctioned by Liverpool manager Rodgers during his reign at Swansea. A later passage focuses on Swansea's 1-0 win in the return fixture with Liverpool in May –Rodgers last game in charge – during which Williams confronted Suarez. Williams added: 'They won a corner, and I appealed to the ref to say that it had come off him last. He said something to me with a bit of a snarl, so I just told him to shut his mouth. 'I don't like the superior manner he brings on the field with him. 'Basically I have no time for the guy at all.' Swansea refused to comment."

Very good, it would be nice for other players to back him up and start another witch hunt and hound him out of the club and league.
