ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

To be fair we are not completely innocent, I just had a guy on Facebook say 'your not one of us' because I said I liked Jamie Carragher as a player.
Seems a silly comment to make.

My grandad pointed out the fact that LFC are being led by the media, they feed their ego's, yet at the same time they don't realise that a lot of the attention is about LFC winning the league followed by the mid season slump, followed by the end of season review of how they have got years without a league trophy.

I think the phrase is 'any publicity is good publicity?' Seems to fit them.

I would like to point out that not all LFC fans are complete idiots.

i want to know if other countries' media are the same? I mean inter have been finishing mid-table for a few years now and not even close to competing for the title. Do they still get discussed as potential title winners at the start of the season like the RS bafflingly get labelled as?

Whilst I see your point, I think the traditional champions like Milan, Inter and Juve will always be mentioned as a threat the season after a bad one. I think under Klopp he is doing a steady job, he is getting rid of a few decent earners and excess talent. The whole idea is that he will trim the squad down and buy players that suit his style. They could be a challenger in the next two years.

well done to the brain dead moron on there who said "why do THEY think they'll win the derby" - basing out whole supporters' feelings on a sole post by ashtonian i'd imagine.
to be fair, a derby 3 months away, i would be suprised if any blue was saying they don't think we will win it right now.

ah no, it was a genuine question. For as long as i remember the RS have always been discussed as title contenders, despite only once in that time ever being a contender.

This great attack they have...

Firminho....Coutinho...Mane
...................Sturridge

How is that better than

Deulofeu.....Barkley....Bolasie
....................Lukaku

Honestly can't see them not winning tonight, this is exactly the type of game they turn up for, and one that Chelsea just go through the motions in because it's no more of an occasion to them than Bournemouth at home.

Yeah I know what your saying. I often look at sky sports and wonder if their is a hidden agenda at times - although I tell myself im crazy.
When we sat in fourth last week, sky called it the top three, even though it was known as the sky four at one point. Then Liverpool won against Leicester and moved into the top 6, sky changed their 'lets look at the table' contenders. Guess who was 7th ?

I really hope that Everton win the league before Liverpool and Spurs, I genuinely think some people at the top would have a hint of disappointment in them if we did cause an upset.
