ECHO Comment: "Fears of Witch-hunt Against Liverpool FC"

There's no chance of Bournemouth getting anything at City, but I would love Everton to be top tonight. Obviously for a number of reasons but a perverse one is just to see sky ignore it in order to have yet another feature on Klopp.

In fairness they have started the season brilliantly. 3 of their hardest fixtures are out the way. They won't win the league or get anywhere near but he's slowly improving them.

Why?

Ud/Chelsea/Spurs/Arsenal hardly look anything special

No European football is a big plus as well, Same goes for us, We just have to hope Rom never gets injured

There is no doubt they have started well but I think the win last night is an indication that Chelsea are not to be feared. Outside of City there doesn't appear to be any team realistically we shouldn't beat. But that is for later on in the season, 3 points today is the pressing matter in hand.
Have they started "We're going to win the league" chants yet.

I will be singing that myself later if we take the three points against Boro

Didnt they get similar results last season, beat chelsea and city away drew with spurs;commentors wet themselves proclaiming them to be potential champions, where did they finish again?

Liverpool will be in the mix for top four, just like us and five others. That's what I think .

I've never thought Liverpool looked top four material for years. Even when Rodgers had them near winning it I thought they'd eventually fall away, but they got a lot of breaks in the season at crucial points and landed a CL spot with ease.

This season I'd say they will get a CL spot again. They've started off very well. One home match they've had so far this season and they're joint second top having played clubs like Chelsea and Arsenal away.

The CL spots will be fought out by:

United
City
Arsenal
Chelsea
Liverpool
Spurs

I wouldn't bother looking outside those 6 for the 4 spots.

O come on, as if you can list those six but leave Eveton out, not sure what kind of statment you are trying to make but that is daft.

Liverpool's problem is seeing off the poor sides, play well against the top clubs yes but they will always fail against a team it is hard for them to get up for.

It's difficult. Klopp has a season under his belt at Liverpool and knows what's expected now with them and they have no European distractions. United under Mourinho wont be anywhere other than a top 2/3 finish. Arsenal are Arsenal and therefore will be very competitive for top 4 as they always are. City and Chelsea are in the same position as United and will contest the title. Spurs wont fal drastically if at all from their position of last season.

Everton dont have the pedigree to be up there in a normally competitive season. It'll take a minimum of about 75 points to get fourth in that company. If Everton had invested heavily this summer in the squad then maybe there was an outside chance of bagging that 4th spot.

Do me a favour mate. You think it's outlandish to leave Everton out of a top four shake up this season?
