Kloppite is running their thin squad into the ground.

Their bench yesterday was laughable - they get one or two injuries/suspensions and they're in trouble as the last 2 results has proved.

Mane off to the ACON soon too.

I called this a few pages back. The continual and utterly delusional self promotion of this mob is startling. We have been 3/4th in the last 5 or 6 years at this stage (having finished 8th the season before) and never once carried on as if we were destined to win the league. They are fast running out of steam and ideas, with a squad heavily reliant on a couple of players and glaring weaknesses elsewhere.

Giving them some credit, they were always going to start quickly this season. Klopps triple sessions were designed for 1 purpose; to get them off to a flyer. The longer term damage is that at periods of congestion it will challenge the players intensity (so injuries will follow) while also potentially leaving them short at the back end of the season. This isn't just me talking, Benitez was a master of understanding this, resting and rotating players and having them peak towards the end of the season. The teams he built are far better than the current Klopp team, and in all honesty better than any team in the PL, they were unfortunate to be up against firstly a Mourinho Chelsea team, and subsequently a Manchester managed by Fergusan.

The obvious points are that the goalkeeper is one of (if not the) worst in the league. Matip is ok next to a decent partner, Lovren is awful, Milner isn't a left back while Clyne is good. That's 1, or at a push 2 decent players in the back 5. The league has never been won by a side with such a poor defence. Going forward they still lack a goalscorer. Despite claims to the contrary, Origi is not better than Lukaku (or even close) and will probably end up with around 8 or 9 goals.

Klopp seems like one of the more tolerable RS managers and hell if he wanted to come here tomorrow I'd take him in an instant. Also I do have to begrugingly admit that when they have the ball 10-15 yards in front of the box and you see 4 players attacking the box with pace its pretty hawt footie. He's proven that on any day his attack could tear apart any side w/o overwhelming talent (Coutino being the only player that almost any team would want?) and that you can bag plenty of goals with just overwhelming numbers. In order to win the league though playing that way you need to build from the back and have a killer group of CBs, a DM and keeper. We need to thank Chelsea for triggering the Kante release clause before they did. We need to thank Brenda for signing Loveren and we need to thank Klopp for finding the only keeper in Germany who sucks.

I think they finish 4th though because Spurs already look kind of tired. They have some newish internationals who are discovering what life is like playing without any offseason plus Euro footie (they finished 3rd in the group right?). Plus their players run around and press almost as much as the RS does. I also think Man utd is still looks more like a collection of parts without a style they are comfortable playing.

If they hadn't have faced Arsenals reserves and a transitional Chelsea side then they'd be in a much truer position in the table. I've got a £20 bet with someone on this site that Chelsea finish above them, at this stage i wouldn't bet on them finishing above United and with a few more injuries we could even catch them.

Very average squad without Coutinho.
